They have the best selection of high quality vehicles. Top of the line at a reasonable price. Not all dealers are the same and to get a fair honest deal is rare! My problem with that is my front wipers were replaced late spring & my rear one in June. They recommended an oil change when one was done at the end of July. I was irritated, to say the least, by all of these unnecessary recommendations that had the potential of costing me in the area of $1500. We are on a fixed income & can't affored to spend money unnecessarily. There was also quite a few other things that they recommended (but considering the first 3 items I don't trust them) & when I mentioned that we were on a fixed income I was told that there are payment plans. I truly resent the way I was treated. More
Lack of dedication or knowledge = expensive inferior work I recently blew the brake lines on my truck and couldn't get it in to my regular mechanic. Summit said they could get it in, so I took it there. The I recently blew the brake lines on my truck and couldn't get it in to my regular mechanic. Summit said they could get it in, so I took it there. The service adviser was very nice and accommodating. However, in the end, the mechanic either wasn't qualified or was simply too lazy to do the job right. They replaced the brake lines front to back and that work was fine. The service manager told me that the mechanic said the brakes are a little spongy and it may be rust on the caliper slides. I paid the bill and left. The brakes were more than a little spongy. The pedal went almost to the floor before there was any resistance, but could eventually be pumped-up. To me that means air in the lines. Prior to blowing the brake lines there were no issues at all with the brakes. I ended up taking the truck in to my regular mechanic and while the front lines were good, the rear bleeders were totally plugged. He removed the bleeders, cleaned them out and bled the brakes. They now are working properly; no sponginess or need to pump-up the brakes. The invoice said they bled the air and road tested. Obviously that wasn't the case. With results like this, after spending several hundred dollars, I will never take any vehicle of mine there again. Sad too, as they are a newer dealership with a friendly staff that is located close to me.....live and learn......... More
