Review: I am extremely disappointed with the service at Motor Specialist. I drove 300 miles, spending several hours on the road, to purchase a TX3 Dynamax, only to wait even longer at the dealership. Ho at Motor Specialist. I drove 300 miles, spending several hours on the road, to purchase a TX3 Dynamax, only to wait even longer at the dealership. However, the staff showed no interest in making the sale. To make matters worse, they sold the motorhome right as I arrived, without even consulting or contacting me beforehand. As a result, I wasted my time, money, and, most importantly, my passion for buying a motorhome. This lack of respect for a customer left a very bad impression. I cannot recommend this company for purchasing a motorhome. More
Timothy Day has provided exceptional service to us on 3 motorhomes. We just purchased another motorhome from MHSRV in August because of his service and that of his staff. Timothy and his staff does an excellent job of trouble shooting and also has helped us to make our motorhomes more adapted to our mobility needs. My husband is an 87 year disabled veteran and I am 79 and mobility impaired. We love the service department in Alvarado! Stewart Braswell was very helpful with educating us on our new motorhome. Motorhomes have some great new features but they are complex enough for the buyer to need some guidance and education. It is very difficult to find good reliable RV service and even more difficult to find the knowledge and quality of service that Timothy Day and his department provides when strange issues require expert trouble shooting. Took to independent repair shop-they repaired it in 20 minutes-defective auto reset fuse- $7.00 part. I would like to recommend them but the service department lacking and sales person basically washed his hands as soon as a drove it off the lot. We are now looking to upgrade to Diesel Pusher and I don't think I will do business with them again. We also were sold a unit with open recalls on it from Ford. More
Was promised a replacement glass cook top for my purchased van in February. Chris Purcell promised this and has not delivered nor returned my numerous phone calls. Certainly very short sighted of this dealer as I will never do business with these guys again. A More
MHSRV of Alvarado Texas knowingly sold and allowed an unsafe vehicle to leave their lot. Based on their own declaration to me when asked you if MSHRV performed a full check of all RVs, including the Tho unsafe vehicle to leave their lot. Based on their own declaration to me when asked you if MSHRV performed a full check of all RVs, including the Thor Outlaw motor home we purchased at the point of receipt from the manufacturer, and prior to sell and release of all RVs, including the Thor Outlaw we purchased, their definitive stated Yes, those are definitely performed. The Thor Outlaw motor home sold to us and allowed to leave your facility dint have a working left tail, brake, and turn signal and functional and safe gas lines and values, If their records show any indication of a passing result then those records have been falsified since the defects identified were present prior to turning the RV over to us. When we did finally get a response frowm a lower level service rep, he stated that we will need to directly address this problem with the manufacturer? MHSRV completely washed their hands of any accountability or responsibility for the unsafe RV they sold. The walk through of the RV performed with a Sales Representative prior to taking possession of the RV was very minimal, somewhat uninformative, and did not include any elements of any equipment safety validation. These couple issues were just the start of a long list of defects we found upon taking possession of the RV. There was a list of 10+ defects, including a “Check Engine” warning light that was identified shortly after departing MHSRV and presumably already prior to leaving MHSRV location for which they told us to just take to a For dealer after get to OKC. We were so comfortable with the safety of the RV we had Bob Hurley RV in Oklahoma City perform a full all points (SWAG) inspection of the RV. The inspection identified a leaking Propane value and pinched gas line at the cooktop, which rendered the cooktop inoperable. Two significant safety defects that should have been identified by MHSRV prior to sale and unquestionably present prior to the sale of this RV to us. We were without our RV for almost 2 months while all the defect items were being fixed. We have yet to hear a word from the MHSRV General Manager/Sales Director or the Service Director on this issues, Nor from Blue Compass RV, their Parent company. Would never purchase again from MHSRV, or any Blue Compass RV dealership and strongly recommend against anyone else buying from them. More
Zero stars. Multiple calls and emails unanswered. If you want a vehicle that is unsafe this is the dealership for you. The saddest part is that the dealership didn't even have the decency to respond and neither did the corporate contacts. Steer clear from this fraud of a dealership. I'm fairly confident that any positive reviews are written by the dealership. More
Bought RV in 2024. Regret buying it from Motor Home Specialist’s mean corporation. Motor Home Specialist makes you beg to test drive and then sign to take responsibi Regret buying it from Motor Home Specialist’s mean corporation. Motor Home Specialist makes you beg to test drive and then sign to take responsibility on your insurance if you test drive for anything that happens to their SALESPERSON or inventory they have on lot. Mind you their salesperson is supposed to be directing you on the coach & if they direct you wrong you are screwed. Then they don’t drive the unit out but make you maneuver it out between other units. How many dealerships make you take responsibility for coach, units on lot, & salesperson? From there it went downhill farther. The salesperson who “sells so many” of the specific unit had poor knowledge of the unit. The paperwork at end says you didn’t rely on anything they said and are buying as is. They spring on you paperwork at end that directly conflicts with what was represented during sales process. These waivers of whatever is said should be required to be signed at the beginning of the sales process. Motor Home Specialist forces you to sign arbitration which puts them at an advantage should you need to have legal remedies. What if your coach catches fire & harms someone & it’s due to their poor inspection or fixing/prepping for delivery? You need to keep your legal options! Believe me! Stay away! The 3 men that handled the sale process were all poor. Ask to review all paperwork you have to sign before the day of delivery. Really think what you are signing away. Because you may need the protections the law gives you! Take it to, or fax it to an RV lawyer. The representations were many. The final paperwork they make you sign negated them. Insist on getting everything verified by email. Then go somewhere else and buy another RV. Go somewhere else. Trust me. Also, they left Coach open & unlocked after deposit put on it. The employee admitted that door left open & bugs got inside it. At time of delivery there were 8 dead bugs upside down on the stove UNDER the stovetop. 2 under the mattresses- 1 under each mattress. So cleaning was non existent. 1 in a compartment underneath. I gave up & cleaned them. They told me to buy some screens that in manual were dangerous to use by manufacturers instructions. Motor Home Specialist didn’t even warn of this. I asked service advisor to refund & he would not take it back & refused to refund. He insisted I use what could nullify the furnace warranty. I don’t have time to go on but too many reasons not to ever go to Motor Home Specialist. Go somewhere where they will give you reliable & good service. Even had problems getting temp license plate. Don’t go here! More

The dealership was spectacular from the beginning of our inquiries to the closing. Nolan was our salesman and was so respectful polite and helpful during our purchase and closing. Joel who was our service r inquiries to the closing. Nolan was our salesman and was so respectful polite and helpful during our purchase and closing. Joel who was our service rep and showed us how everything worked with the utmost respect and continued to ask us if there was anything else we needed to know. Our finance rep,Chris, was thorough pleasant and efficient. The really cool thing is they have you spend your first night on site to make sure everything is good before you head on down the road. Being from California that was huge. Finally we saved over $20,000 by coming here. Awesome. Don and Suzie Roberts More
