My wife HATES buying cars;however, Tony Kazan and the Mossy crew were awesome. My wife said buying a Matrix yesterday was a "pleasant" experience. Tony was very helpful, patient, and knowledgable. Every Mossy crew were awesome. My wife said buying a Matrix yesterday was a "pleasant" experience. Tony was very helpful, patient, and knowledgable. Everyone was very polite and friendly. Thanks again to Tony and Mossy Toyota. We will definitely tell our family and friends to buy their cars at Mossy. More
We had a wonderful young man help us initially named Carlos. He was very informative and had a good head on his shoulders. We could see his kind heart and desire to serve the customers. After we were Carlos. He was very informative and had a good head on his shoulders. We could see his kind heart and desire to serve the customers. After we were turned over to the rest of them, we were so unimpressed with the customer service and honoring what we said. Back when I bought my first car used from a dealer, I remember such a wonderful salesperson, Dennis, who was sincere and listened to us and didn't play the "game" that these guys played. Today, we watched this laughable "game" and it repulsed us beyond any other dealer we've been to so far, and we will not return and make sure to spread the word to those we love. We wasted valuable time entrapped in a game we did not want to play. If all your people were like Carlos, you'd have a great customer service reputation. It was kind of funny that right afterwards, our father warned us not to go to the "Toyota dealer out in Pacific Beach" because they are not too well liked with their "rude and pushy salesmen". Unfortunately, we had to see it for ourselves. Nice vehicles, but not worth the stress. More
Brought in 2007 Prius car for dead battery and the dealer first said battery replacement, then a day later the fuse and day later the inverter which went from $200 (which was covered under extended warranty) first said battery replacement, then a day later the fuse and day later the inverter which went from $200 (which was covered under extended warranty) to $300 to $4200.00 and they said it was caused by a reverse polarity jump which was not the case; they told me to claim it on insurance and then gave conflicting information to insurance company they were misleading, unhelpful, arrogant, deceptive and I have other Toyota master mechanics and someone inside the dealer telling me I was ripped off and mistreated. They tried to charge me for storage and gave me a hard time when I wanted to move the car... I am taking this up with Toyota Corporate and the State Authorities and my attorney Avoid this dealer at all costs!!! Tom A. tom@nutritionadvisors.com More
The saleperson assigned to me had been on the job one month and her sales tactics were so transparent and inept as to be insulting, almost laughable. The "base price" quoted was $7,000 too high with a $ month and her sales tactics were so transparent and inept as to be insulting, almost laughable. The "base price" quoted was $7,000 too high with a $3,000 "discount" and a $500 rebate and I was pressured mercilessly to sign before leaving the dealership even though I was only inquiring about a price quote. She seemed desperate to make the sale before the end of the day. Sad that such a good product has representatives on the front line like that ruining sales. More
I have a two year old car, which has been maintained by the Mossy service team (I got the prepaid service agreement). However, I do not think they have been all that attentive to the service they provide. the Mossy service team (I got the prepaid service agreement). However, I do not think they have been all that attentive to the service they provide. I had to replace all the tires after 15K miles. They said it was not their problem. They would not agree to replace them, they Basically said I was a bad driver. More
I bought my truck here in 03 and get it serviced here. Generally they do a good job, but have fallen short. Making appointments is useless, since twice now, the person I made the service appointment with Generally they do a good job, but have fallen short. Making appointments is useless, since twice now, the person I made the service appointment with was nowhere to be found and for some reason last time them made me wait 20 min until the guy showed up (with his mcdonalds drink). What really gets me is that 2 of the last 3 times I've been there for service, the change in the console change dispensor has disappeared. They are smart enough to leave the last coin in each bin so that it isn't obvious. I wasn't sure the first time it happened, so actaully counted it this time. Was just a few bucks, but when you need it, you need it and it makes me wonder if I had anything else in the car that is now gone. I also find it amazing that someone would risk their job for for a few bucks. I guess if you are moving 50 cars a day, it can add up. Overall, they get the job done, but need to realize the little things can make as big an impression as the big stuff. More
I bought a used vehicle from Mossy Toyota. Overall the experience was about average. Would I recommend this place? Well, I've never been to a used car dealership that I *would* recommend. It has been m experience was about average. Would I recommend this place? Well, I've never been to a used car dealership that I *would* recommend. It has been my experience that they all use the same tactics, that is just the nature of today's criminalized cut-throat business world. The buying process was the usual: low-ball on the trade in / high-ball on the purchased vehicle. Craig Rice was my salesman, and he was a generally friendly fellow. No complaints with him. After a little haggling we made a deal. The price I paid for the vehicle was a higher than it was worth, but I didn't mind so much since I got a good APR on the loan. To be fair, they didn't haggle as much as some places I've been to. But that is probably because I was an 'easy' customer. In other words, if you want the absolute best price/APR (which I didn't get) you would probably have to haggle a lot more than I did. I hate haggling, it's uncivilized behaviour, so for me it's not worth doing so for $25/mo less or so. Haggling belongs in middle Eastern bazaars where Semites argue over the price of dried fruit. My experience in the finance department was with a young lady named Theresa Bellas. She was a bit snippy with me at times, and appeared to be annoyed I would not buy a $700 car alarm. LOL Maybe this tactic of insinuating that the customer is a moron for not "protecting" his vehicle with an overpriced alarm works with some folks but I was a little annoyed by it. So, yeah... there you have it. You can certainly do worse than Mossy Toyota. But you may be able to do better as well. If you have the patience and time, shop around and get the dealers to compete with one another. Good luck... More
I originally reviewed Mossy Toyota with mostly 1s after their initial service. However, I contacted the management and they were extremely helpful in resolving the issue and compensating me for the misunde their initial service. However, I contacted the management and they were extremely helpful in resolving the issue and compensating me for the misunderstandings. They issued a new key absolutely free of charge, which made up for the initial confusion and frustration. I really appreciate the effort Mossy Toyota put in to resolve this conflict. Keep up the good work! More
Absolutely terrible experience. They will stare you straight in the eyes and lie to you. Horrible people with horrible customer service policies. They have absolutely no interest in building a long s straight in the eyes and lie to you. Horrible people with horrible customer service policies. They have absolutely no interest in building a long standing relationship, they will tell you anything that they think will get you into a car and then the second that you are in it you will be ignored and tossed aside like last weeks trash. Stay Away!!! More
