Paula was very helpful and didn't mind we weren't ready to buy just yet. I think she knew us 8 months before we bought. She would keep in touch but in a helpful and nonintrusive way. As with anything, we did shop around and wait until sales had dropped to encourage best pricing from different dealers, but when we got what we wanted (which was a great price!) we definitely wanted to give our business to Paula. When our VW went kaput we needed a new car fairly quickly. We knew we wanted a 2010 Prius III and began looking around the county for one. As we live in Ramona, it was very unpleasant to be told th quickly. We knew we wanted a 2010 Prius III and began looking around the county for one. As we live in Ramona, it was very unpleasant to be told that a car was "on the lot" only to find that when we arrived 1 hour later it "must have been sold". This was NOT the case with Mossy Toyota. Alex was our salesperson and he was very nice and helpful. They did not have the color we originally wanted but he tried to find one and in the end we decided on one in the lot. We wanted leather and he was very efficient in getting it organized and ensuring that we had a rental car while the car was in the service department. As we knew what we wanted and did not need a loan, all that was left was settling on a price. This is not the most fun part of purchasing a car at any dealership, with the constant running back and forth of the salesman to the "man behind the curtain", but Alex was great and made it as painless as possible. He really tried to speed it along and we appreciated the effort. Overall, we were happy with Alex, the service department, the dealership and especially with our new Prius! More

They explained everything in such detail. Then they brought the new vehicle to our home which was so nice. I have never had that offered so it was a nice touch. I will absolutly come back! I'm providing this rating because Mossy Toyota staff provided excellent customer service (products consult, financing, & sales preparation), no high pressure sales tactics, a decent trade-in value, and provided excellent customer service (products consult, financing, & sales preparation), no high pressure sales tactics, a decent trade-in value, and a well built, sporty sedan. My salesperson, Mark Arrington was friendly, courteous, and helpful. He listened to my concerns and requests about a new car. He showed me the right car from the start; and, didn't try to sell me something else that I wouldn't be happy owning. Mossy Toyota was recommended by friend, who purchased a Toyota Highlander. Of the Pontiac, Chevrolet X 2, Nissan X 2, and now Toyota x 2, cars that I have bought in the last 19 years, Mossy Toyota is the only purchase that I don't have buyers remorse and I'm actually very happy with my Toyota Camry SE purchase. Just on a side note, my salesperson, Mark Arrington reminds me of one of my favorites, musician/singer Michael Bolton. More
Ian stepped in and asked me follow-up questions when the person who greeted me was ready to let me walk out the door. He answered all of my questions and asked me questions to focus on the right vehicle for me. When I returned to the dealership several times over a week's time, he always knew me by name. I had the impression that he was interested in earning my business. He was patient with my 'analysis paralysis'. I never felt he was strong-arming or manipulating me. We didn't strike a deal on price primarily because I live in Colorado most of the year and the sales tax there is much lower than in CA. Even though he got me the exact vehicle I wanted, he couldn't offer me enough for my trade to offset the higher sales taxes. If I lived in CA, and bought a Toyota now, I would have bought it from him. I felt like he was really the person I was dealing with rather than the sales person. I also got excellent professional support from the Internet Manager, Kazumi. Because of these two individuals my overall impression of the dealership was very positive. I was offered a better deal from another San Diego dealership, but didn't trust the individuals I worked with there and would not buy a car from them. More
