Have used GLF for a long time. They give excellent service and are not pushy about services they recommend. Engine Fail Safe Light came on several times within a few weeks. Brought car in. Able to get courtesy shuttle to work. Sometimes when dealing with car issues, I need a therapist, or at least a really understanding listening ear when dealing with service. Phil listened. I got a call late morning that I needed a throttle body replacement, air filer, fuel filter, transmission fluid flush/fill, and that my water pump was leaking. I didn't have the money for all the service needs and Phil's approach was to treat me like I was a relative and help me sort/prioritize and gave me the time I needed to make a decision. I felt I was listened to and well informed. I decided to get the throttle body replaced and the air filter. I then made another appointment to get the water pump replaced. Service worked with me on a deal so I could afford to get the water pump replaced, fuel filter changed, and transmission fluid flushed/filled. If I had to put out hundred of dollars for service, at least I was greeted with an understanding chashier in Julie and reminder that I received service award discounts with the dealership's advantage program. Every dollar helps! I even asked for a check on a replaced headlamp that the body shop had done several months ago and know they had someone look at it. I had courtesy rides to work and picked up afterwards and brought back to the dealership. I was offered coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water while I waited in a comfortable waiting room with plenty of reading options and a TV but I did not have to wait long for my ride. GREAT JOB! More

I took my truck in because I wanted Siris XM radio installed. Jon gave me a really excellent price quote and Phil arranged to have the job done the next day. When I first pulled into the service area it was not marked for oil change so I wasn't exactly sure I was in the right place, it was the first oil change on my 2012 Fusion, Phil was not super patient bu marked for oil change so I wasn't exactly sure I was in the right place, it was the first oil change on my 2012 Fusion, Phil was not super patient but told me exactly what I needed to do then sent me to the waiting room which was clean, and friendly. I purchased my car from here about a year ago (new) and have been taking it to this dealership for regular service. The car (a fusion) has had many problems since I bought it (new may I remind you), but I have been taking it to this dealership for regular service. The car (a fusion) has had many problems since I bought it (new may I remind you), but I understand this is not the dealer's fault. However, on my latest visit to Grand Ledge Ford the service man accused me of lying and refused to fix my car which had a clear problem. I stood outside with him and pointed out where the seal on my window had fallen away from the door. The serviceman then proceeded to say "okay, let's see" and pushed the seal back up toward the door. I watched him look where it had fallen away and then look to push it up. They took the car away for an oil change and to examine the seal. They brought the car back and the seal clearly was not against the door. The service man looked me in the eye several times and told me, rudely, that it was fine and the seal does not always sit the same way every time you close it. I may not be a car expert, but I do know the seal should sit snugly against the door- and I asked him this- and he agreed. He accused me of not being able to see it because of the "black on black" and he also claimed he never saw the seal fallen. The service manager stood by witnessing this all (without saying a peep). There is a clear gap- anyone who has remotely good eyesight can see that, but the service man refused to acknowledge it and the service MANAGER did not utter a peep. I asked them do I need to take photos to document problems from now on? What is it that you think you can stand there and lie to my face...to no response from either. Fed up I left. I will not be returning to this dealer. I am happy there is another dealer in the area because they did not take my claim seriously, lied to my face, and were rude. When I left I thanked the service manager and the service man for there time, in all seriousness, and the service manager shot me a glare and stared at me. Yes, I will be filling out the performance survey with poor marks, but only because you deserve it. The other times when my car came back to me covered in mud all over the interior and you apologized- I gave you good marks. Or the other times when you kept my car for days for a clear problem then said it was nothing- I gave you good marks. How about the time you didn't seal my tires right and I kept getting flats? I gave you good marks, but sorry Grand Ledge Ford- I will not anymore. The service here is poor and they are only concerned about the survey as you can tell with there parting phrase (yes I have received this EVERY time), "now you are going to give me good marks aren't you?. If you don't I fail the survey." Sorry, but you shouldn't have to ask your customers for good marks! You have lost my business. I now know where not to go for a car next time. More
Always feel cared for by the staff. Price is right and service is outstanding. Even got a car wash as part of the oil change and also tire rotation.
