We were looking at the later model Escapes and Edges. I found an Escape that sounded nice on the internet at Grand Ledge Ford. My wife was busy on Saturday so I decided to take a ride and see if it was som found an Escape that sounded nice on the internet at Grand Ledge Ford. My wife was busy on Saturday so I decided to take a ride and see if it was something of interest. When I got there I met Ron and in talking they had just gotten in an Edge. Now it was time to take a ride from Grand Rapids with my wife on Monday. We test drove both and set them side by side to do a comparison, after a test drive we decided on the Edge. Ron was easy to talk to and was interested in what we were looking for and made sure we were happy. No pressure no money talk, until the deal was being made. This was the first time my husband and I have went car shopping. We first went to Sundance, another car dealership down the road from Grand Ledge Ford. We had an awful experience at Sundance and left feel shopping. We first went to Sundance, another car dealership down the road from Grand Ledge Ford. We had an awful experience at Sundance and left feeling kind of discouraged and surprised by the lack of interest we experienced from the sales consultant there. It was around 8:45 pm that we left and as we passed Grand Ledge Ford, I said that we should stop and see if they were open and had a Ford Focus that we could test drive the next day. I felt bad coming in so close to their closing at 9 pm and so just wanted to make it real quick. Ron McInnis, a Sales Consultant there, greeted us with a smile and helped us out right away. He spoke with us about their inventory and really listened to what we were saying. He even stayed after 9 to finish talking with us and took us out back to show us a couple of the cars on their lot. Basically, he really tried to meet our needs and actually seemed like he wanted our business, something that Sundance did not. We were really grateful that we stopped there and left feeling pretty excited. We came back the next day to test drive a used 2011 Ford Focus. It was a recent trade-in the dealership received and so Ron did his best to make sure it was cleaned out before we got in it. He asked us something along the lines of, "Is there anything I can do for you?" in regards to selling us the car. I asked to have a new windshield because there was a small crack in it. Done. Then he had it sent in to be cleaned and detailed right away so that we could drive it off the lot that weekend. He just went the extra mile to really meet our needs and address all the concerns we had. Ron is an extremely friendly and funny guy and it was a pleasure doing business with him. Joel Conn did most of the paperwork for us and was very polite and friendly as well. We have to replace our other car within the year as well and we will definitely be approaching this dealership when that time comes. More
