I've been a lease customer of Grand Ledge Ford for several years now and I'm always more than pleased with the service I receive on the showroom floor as well as in the Service Department. Marianne Cox is very customer service oriented, extremely personable and has always gone above and beyond in assisting me with my vehicle lease needs. (And believe me, I'm not an easy customer to work with!) In fact, every person I've encountered in the GL dealership is friendly, from the receptionist to a salesperson on the floor - even the owner (Barry) takes time to step out of his office to either greet me or wave. When I picked up my last car in December, one of their salesmen took time out of his day to program my cell phone and the Sync option and explained a lot about this feature to me in a way I could understand. (Since I'm "techno challenged", this meant a great deal to me!) Their service department is excellent - Kayla does a great job replying quickly to emails/calls. When I dropped in for an oil change last week, the young woman working at the Service Desk was informative, friendly and knowledgable about cars as well. (By the way, it's nice to see more women in auto industry as a whole, and especially as sales and service professionals.) They even took care of a recall notice (that I had ignored!)while changing my oil. When I asked them about an area on the dash that looked spotted, they used a cleaner to try and minimize the apearance and took the time to explain how it might have been a result of the manufacturing process and suggested cleaners I could use at home if it reoccured. If your looking for great customer service, a plentiful vehicle inventory, friendly, knowledgeable sales professionals and an honest and helpful service department, definitely consider Grand Ledge Ford as THE place to buy or lease a vehicle in Michigan! More

Grand Ledge Ford made me feel comfortable buying my new Fusion. I traded in my Saturn and a VW Cabrio and walked out with such an upgrade, I smiled all the way home. Grand Ledge Ford LM is always prompt at getting my Taurus in, fixing it right the first time, and giving it back just how I left it. Jim and Dennis in service are fantastic. Barry Merril is the owner of this dealership. When appropriately approached about a service concern he was rude, condescending, and treated me in a demeaning manner. Although there are many fine employees at this dealership the owner sets the standard for how people are treated. He treated me like he could care less what I thought of him or his dealership. Supply and demand will prevail. He must be a very wealthy man to treat a concerned and dedicated customer like dog. More

So we decided to have our car serviced elsewhere for half the price and told them that we would just come pick up the car. So when they put the wheels back on they stripped all of the chrome covers - now all have to be replaced. They won't admit that they did this, and they never told us that they had any problems with getting them off when we came to pick up the car. The chrome covers on the back wheels that they didn't touch are fine. INFLATED PRICES, INCOMPETENT MECHANICS, AND MANAGERS THAT TRY TO BLAME A PROBLEM ON SOMEONE ELSE RATHER THAN OFFERING A SOLUTION. bought a 99 chevy s10 from the dealer , which mind you had been ( ran through the service department) got the truck out of the drive ( after signing the as is form) ( had test driven the truck before this had been ( ran through the service department) got the truck out of the drive ( after signing the as is form) ( had test driven the truck before this) and got approx. 1 1/2 miles from the dealership and had a stop sign come up , something popped and no brakes, ( the brakes had just benn done by the service department) had a little snow in the drive , ( is supposed to be a 4 wheel drive), and the 4 wheel drive didnt work i had asked if these items were fuctional, and was told yes the only thing that was indicated was a low battery voltage output. therefore after calling back and asking about these things i was told, " the truck that you traded in was not in such great shape either" . i didnt understand the comparisson? however the dealership has decided not to do naything at all so my recorse is to let other people know how they treated me, hope this will help someone out there make a better choice as to whom to deal with !! buyer beware More
