I did not expect to buy a car today. I had already spent time at another dealership this morning and the attitudes and cars simply didn't impress me. Since my family lives out of the area, I never thought I'd trust a dealership employee enough to get serious about a car. My boyfriend and I stopped by Grand Ledge Ford on a whim and met Karl Hoffneister, possibly the best salesman you could ever ask for! He was really relaxed and walked a great line between showing me cars with the features I wanted, and letting me wander off when I saw something I liked. I found a car I liked, drove it, and liked it even more. I had a concern that the brakes felt mushy to me so Karl handed the car over to the service team. Phil Wright, the service manager, and Larry Edwards, the technician worked on it for me and it feels fantastic now! Judy Williams helped me with the financing- she has the patience of a saint to work with this particular student's finances, and then to explain all the paperwork I needed to fill out! One of the most impressive parts of the day was that Karl stuck with me for the entire process. Even once they knew I was definitely buying the car, he kept me up to date and entertained for the whole time. For once, I found a car dealer that acted like they were more interested in my getting a good car than getting as much of my cash as possible. At the end of the day I now have a fabulous first car, a 2006 Pontiac G6, and had a great experience at Grand Ledge Ford. I will definitely be sending all of my friends and family there for their future car purchases! More

The trip to the dealership for a National Recall for a roof liner also included a request to see what was making a noise that only I could hear. I wasn't too sure if there really a problem or not. I was able to bring my vehicle in on short notice and Phil made sure it was worked on quickly. The dealership has a good inventory of parts so I didn't have to wait for a special order.
