I didn't buy my used 2010 Ford Fusion from Grand Ledge Ford, but my family had bought cars there in the past. They had always treated us well. My Fusion started having transmission problems. I brought it in and soon discovered it had to be rebuilt. Next we found out that Ford was back ordered for 15 days on the part they needed to fix it. Grand Ledge Ford provided me with an Enterprise rental car. They ended up getting the part early and finished up in a week. I only ended up paying the $100 deductible. After I got my car back I noticed my steering alignment was off. They got me back in right away and fixed it for free! My entire time I worked with Phil Wright. He was excellent to work with and provided great service. I would recommend Grand Ledge Ford service department to anyone. More
Colleen was exceptional w/sales. My license plate frame was discarded w/out my approval/knowledge. It had been a gift to me from my employer. When a man said he'd look for it "now" he went to lunch instead was discarded w/out my approval/knowledge. It had been a gift to me from my employer. I was left waiting for him to eat his lunch and when he came back he said he'd look for it later. ROTTEN CUSTOMER SERVICE in this case! Overall-the service and price of veh were acceptable. The veh was able to be taken home that night. I brought it back for some minor touch-up (previous scratches) This went well. I'm very pleased with the purchase of the 2010 Ford Focus. Not so pleased with that particular salesman who evidently was starving and failed to let me know what his plans for that half hour wait-for me-were. More
Phil is very hospitable and gives a thorough assessment of your vehicle's needs. He is able to check the vehicle service history combined w/his own automotive knowledge and forecast potential issues that c of your vehicle's needs. Was having problems with the locks on the doors and also the remote for my Ford Explorer. Spoke w/Jim on the phone before going down to G.L. Ford. I went into the dealership to schedule an oil change, and they took me right them without a pre-scheduled appointment. During the oil change, they discovered that tie rods needed replacing. I'm on the road a lot, and truly appreciate the way they keep me informed on work the car needs. I scheduled an appointment to replace the tie rods (they could have done it the very next day if that had fit my schedule). They also provide a ride home and then a ride for pickup when the car is finished. I have always appreciated the honesty and fair pricing, and all personnel is very friendly and helpful. More

My wife and I have purchased 4 new vehicles from Grand Ledge Ford over the years and we always take them back to GL Ford for all maintenance and body work. GL Ford always honors all warranty/ies too, but honestly, Ford makes such a good product we have not had much warranty work, even with four cars. I have not had a single major maintenance or warranty issue with our 2008 FORD Escape, 2006 FORD Focus, or 2001 and 2003 FORD Mustangs other than normal wear and tear. I do have three children and they have had a few small to medium accidents involving damage to the cars(no personal injuries luckily!). The GL Ford body shop is oustanding and the cars look and drive like new after the repairs are done. My auto insurance company tells me that GL Ford's repair estimates are never out of line or excessive and my insurer has never suggested that I get a second estimate. Last week I needed new windshield wipers on my everyday car and I drove in with no appointment and they installed them on the spot--no problems. We have had head lights replaced when they burn out, and oil changes and lube jobs done while we wait and they have a nice waiting area with coffee, newspapers, and friendly smiles. When we have larger maintenance jobs they have a courtesy van that will take you back home or to work while your car is being repaired. Today, I had to drop off my 2003 Mustang (V-8) convertible because I let it sit in my garage for over one year while I was serving in Afghanistan and the fuel pump and fuel was jelled up and it wouldn't start. I had it towed to GL Ford first thing in the morning and Phil Wright in the service department was wide awake and on duty and took care of everything even though the temperature was zero degrees out and freezing. Mechanic Randy Gernoun replaced the fuel pump and did all the repair work and Julie BeVier handled the paperwork and payments with all the little extras and courtesies that make doing business someplace so easy. It makes me want to keep going back whenever I have any auto problems or maintenance issues. In over eleven years of dealing with GL Ford I have never had any bad experiences with the sales department, service department, body shop, or even the courtesy car/van driver. It's just an all around very well run business. I have been going to GL Ford for years now and I'm glad I found this website, so I could show Phil, Randy, Julie, and all the folks at GL Ford a little appreciation for such good service over the years. I've been deployed with the Army several times since 9-11-01 and it's great to know that my wife and family have a great dealership to take care of anything auto related while I'm gone. Oh, and anybody in the military, Ford Motor Co. gives a military discount on all new car purchases on top of any other discounts you might be entitled to. Every little bit helps. Ford employs a lot of folks in Michigan and in the USA and it's a US company steeped in and entertwined with US history, including wartime production that helped win WWII. BUY AMERICAN, I say. I didn’t want to be hassled with any other sales pitches, no extras, I went in knowing what I wanted and they found it for me, what more could you ask for when buying a car. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that needs a car, anyone that just wants to walk in, get what you want and walk out. The staff was accommodating, my wait was minimal, a very pleasant experience all around. I live in East Lansing and when they say it is worth the drive to Grand Ledge Ford, they are correct.
