Missy, thank you for reaching out. After further investigation, we found out that Clayton did send an email stating that the vehicle you were interested in was sold. Also, there was never a set specific time for you to stop by and look at the vehicle. Given the marketplace conditions, vehicles are selling very fast right now. When a customer calls with interest about a vehicle, that does not mean it is automatically held for the customer unless they put a deposit down. We have had several customers call with “interest” but then never show up. This is why we encourage customers to put a deposit down to hold a vehicle. As far as our sales manager’s behavior, to our understanding, he was trying to help/explain the situation but it was a very combative, expletive filled phone call from your end.
