Was assisted by Ashley today for a walk-in NYS inspection. She called me after their complementary multipoint inspection and walked me through everything. Loved that nothing was "sold" to me. After two trips to trips to the service center for warranty work on my 2019 Dodge Van we bought in 2020. The transmission had to be replaced. John Higgins and .John B. the Technician is very professional and did an excellent repair explanation.. Those two deserve public recognition for a great experience. I live in Bloomfield NJ and was in Schenectady yesterday (12/23) visiting family. I had just left for Syracuse for work when part of my drive train/axle broke. I was 170 miles from home 2 days from Christma (12/23) visiting family. I had just left for Syracuse for work when part of my drive train/axle broke. I was 170 miles from home 2 days from Christmas and my car (2013 Fit) was completely non functional. My cousin and I researched the part that broke and realized that there was a recall order for it that I had never seen/heard of. We immediately called the closest dealership which was Mohawk Honda and explained the situation, and I was told that there was a good chance that my car would even be looked at until Monday but if I got it there asap they would do what they could. We arrived at 3:00, explained the situation and was told “no problem, that’s a covered recall repair so it won’t cost you anything. Do you want to wait for it or have us call you in a couple hours when it’s ready?” My mouth fell open in amazement. We left at 3:30 and sure enough at 5:30 we got the call that the car was ready. By 6 I was on the road and home by 8:30, and outcome I never would have believed a few hours before. Everyone at Mohawk that I dealt with (unfortunately I can’t remember their names) was incredibly nice and professional, particularly on a day when everyone just wanted to get home. There was immediate acceptance of this being a covered repair with zero pushback, and there was no pressure to do any other work. I can safely say this was the best interaction with a dealership service center I’ve ever had and only wish I lived closer. 5 stars all the way More
Returned from a vacation trip and our 18 CRV had a strange rubbing sound coming from one of the wheels. Ian got us in quickly for an appointment, in view of safety concerns with brakes, and got them strange rubbing sound coming from one of the wheels. He was detailed in his explanation and told us that some surface debris caused by the CRV not being driven for a week while parked at our hotel across from the ocean, caused a coating on the rotors. He said it should dissipate in s few hundred miles but if it doesn’t to give home a call. Great experience. More
While my wife and I were driving home from shopping today my warning sound and information came on in my 2018 Nissan Rogue. I had low tire pressure in one of my tires. I drove to a Stewarts Ice Cream Shop my warning sound and information came on in my 2018 Nissan Rogue. I had low tire pressure in one of my tires. I drove to a Stewarts Ice Cream Shop to use their Free Air to blow up the tire. When I got there I checked to see which tire was low. The information showed 5 pounds of pressure in one of my tires. I got out and saw that one tire was almost flat. I started to get my spare tire and jack out to change the tire but was having trouble getting the factory installed jack out of its settings. I heard someone ask if there was a problem. It was John Higgins, Service advisor from Mohawk Honda. My wife and I explained what had happen. John was there to get lunch for himself. He took the time to try to get the jack out. After a few minutes of struggling, it came loose. He made a call and in a few minutes Mike Healy, Service Manager at Mohawk Honda came to help. Both John and Mike were able to change to tire in the 87 degree heat with me and my wife watching in amazement on what was happening. After the tire was changed John said I could go to Mohawk Honda and they would repair or replace the tire at a small cost. He also said I could take it wherever I wanted. I chose to take it to Mohawk Honda. When I got there I was taken right in and all the necessary paperwork was completed. The tire was repaired and John took the time to explain about the condition of the tire. If it wasn't for John stopping by I would have spent a few hours working at changing the tire. This was one of those good samaritan stories that you only hear about and never have happen to you. My wife and I are both very grateful to John and Mike for their very generous act. More
