I first used Modern for service of a company truck. Service dept. was great to work with. We then used a groupon for NC inspections of our two cars and again the service dept was great to work with. When we decided to purchase a new mid size truck, Modern was one of the places we decided to look at since the service dept. was great to work with and we had looked at cars there before, but ended up going with a employer lease benefit. Not because of customer service, financial reasons we could not pass up. When we entered the dealership, Eric approached us and got some info as to what we were looking for. They had several trucks on the lot and the one we wanted to look at had just come in that morning. Eric found the keys, we took for a test drive and started talking numbers. In the meantime, the service dept took the truck and got it ready in case we bought. After some negotiating, we traded our 2005 van for a new Frontier. The truck was ready for us, cleaned up and fueled up. We were there for a few hours from start to finish, but that is part of the car buying process and we know it. I will continue to shop there and use the service dept. All in all, we had a very good experience and would recommend the dealership to others. More

This was my first car buying experience and I could not have asked for any better. Eric and every employee were very welcoming and helpful working with me. I've been to other dealerships that have "over- have asked for any better. Eric and every employee were very welcoming and helpful working with me. I've been to other dealerships that have "over-pushy" salesmen that make the experience miserable, but I have to say I thouroughly enjoyed this experience!! We were first greeted by our Salesman Eric Carter.... I guess the word salesman would be an in accurate title... I prefer to use genuine human being... Eric was by far the best representative of a dealers guess the word salesman would be an in accurate title... I prefer to use genuine human being... Eric was by far the best representative of a dealership we have even encountered, caring, passionate and trusting... Yes, i know these words generally aren’t used inside a dealership, hence for the term genuine human being. Eric first welcomed us (wife and 8 year old and 11 year old boys) inside, sat us down and gathered information as to what exactly we were looking for, never once did he stray away from my needs to benefit his.... My wife and I located a vehicle that we really had serious interest in purchasing, however that vehicle was located at one of their sister dealerships in Raleigh NC, couple hours away. Eric would then explain to us that maybe we should test drive an identical Nissan pathfinder that has the same engine. The vehicle performed very well, which gave us a better feeling about the vehicle in Raleigh. Eric informed us that he could have that specific vehicle at his office the very next day so we could really see upfront and in person what we had interest in purchasing. Needless to say, we loved the vehicle that was brought down to us and began the financing and negotiations on the price. We had our bottom line figure right up front, we informed Eric this is what we want to pay, not a penny more, however a dealership is a business, they are there to make a profit as well, their employees are there to make a living, so draw your bottom line and stay firm, let them be the one to say we can’t sell it at your price. Anyways, once we informed Eric of our number, with the going back and forth thing with his manager, finally a manger, not sure of his name, and won’t call him out either came over to explain to us why he couldn’t let the price go for what I wanted. He was a little pushy and a little arrogant, however I didn’t let him take control of the situation, explained to him my bottom number and informed him that was it, not a penny more... Again, his attitude was negative, so be it, you need thick skin to deal with these guys. We attempted to leave just when he said hold on once again, and 2 minutes later Eric came back to us stating we got the vehicle at our price.... The place is great to deal with, other than that one manager, too bad for him.. I would absolutely buy another vehicle there and deal directly with Eric Carter, he was a great associate, went above and beyond for us, not only my wife and I but our kids as well.... It was a great experience, just too bad the manger put a kink in the whole experience. I will also be forwarding this review to Modern Nissan of Lake Norman Senior level Management staff and hope that any one reading this review doesn’t get the negative impact from the manger that we received... Overall 2 thumbs up and the vehicle is a gem!!!!!!! Thank you again Eric, you’re the man!!!! More

I highly recommend this dealership. Car buying can be a very stressful and frustrating experience. However, when you are treated well by professional staff it can be an exciting and very enjoyable experi very stressful and frustrating experience. I strongly feel that I got a better price than I could have gotten any where else. More
