After the others it was a true breath of fresh air. Finally, respectful full service with Jose Medina. Jose's professionalism went above and beyond not only to help me locate the dependable vehicle I wanted with it's accessories but was attentitive to my price. The process was clear, quick, & painless. I appreciated that there was no games with an extremely fair trade in. Make sure you ask him about touring with a rock band for 3 years! It's fun talking to interesting people. After I decided on the CX-5. I met Jessica Deedon, financial wizard, I say that for I normally don't meet one that actually gives me the final price as negotiated. I just purchased my CX-5 yesterday and the process was excellent, the entire team did a wonderful job of making me feel comfortable in going through the entire process. The most kudos go to John "fish" Salmon, he was absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable about my car. I could not ask for a better salesman and team. Everyone should have a salesman like Fish. I also would like to mention that although Fish was not present when I picked up the car he made sure that he connected me with another great sales-person "Jose Medina" who filled in superbly in his absence. I kept seeing new cars on the road so I knew that this made me determined to find one; my car was 14 years old and was on its last breaths. I called countless local Mazda dealers about the crossover I wanted which was the Mazda CX5 Select in Soul Crystal Red Metallic but received the same answers which were the end of August or mid-September. I was hung up on quite a bit by frustrated dealers who wanted me to buy their used cars or demos. No one had red; just black, white, and light or dark blue. I looked up reviews and came across Modern Mazda in Thomaston, CT. about 45 minutes from West Haven where I live. I gave them a call in the last week of June and I spoke to John "Fish" Salmon a very pleasant and endearing man after an hour of conversation, he told me that the exact vehicle I was looking for was arriving in Baltimore harbor from its overseas journey on July 4th. I went to see fish in Thomaston one evening after work and we really hit it off. He did not pull those pushy salesman tactics; he was extremely transparent. After an hour or so he wrote up a deal I was not too happy with so with some FIN-agling {excuse the pun, haha) he was able to get me $2000 off the asking price with the trade-in of my vehicle. I was so happy to finally pick up my vehicle yesterday July 23rd which seemed like an eternity of waiting; it's the most beautiful car/suv on the block! Thank you, Fish, Mike the manager, and Jess the dollar cruncher for helping make this experience painless and fun. This is only the second vehicle I ever bought brand new and I am so glad I chose Modern Mazda of Thomaston, CT.!: If you go there, please ask for Fish, you'll be glad you did! More

John “Fish” Salmon was an exceptionally great sales associate who was able to help me find a great deal financing a really great car within my budget on such short notice. My previous car died and I wa associate who was able to help me find a great deal financing a really great car within my budget on such short notice. My previous car died and I was left without transportation from work, and before the end of the weekend we were able to find a replacement that suited my needs and budget. Everyone their was transparent and hassle free and was willing to answer any questions given, as well as work with me and my budget. I cannot recommend Modern Mazda enough! More

Car shopping? Supply chain issues? High demand/low inventory? Needless to say, I was not looking forward to doing this. Marc (the service advisor) put me in touch with Jose Medina in their sales department. Jose is great, very knowledgeable and no high pressure sales pitches to worry about; he made the whole process easy. The staff we worked with on purchase/pick up day were all friendly, professional and understanding. Jose called me a few days afterwards to check on how I liked the car and if I had any concerns; I am totally impressed with his follow through and genuine concern about my purchase. A++ on customer service! Thank you all for making this such a pleasant experience! More
