Frustrated and irritated with the service department. My Genesis GV80 has been in for service this time for over 4 weeks and during this time I’ve initiated all the contact for updates. Each time I’ve called there was always a delay in actually speaking to a person and if you’re put through to voicemail no one would return call. I reached out to Genesis customer service and explained to them what was going on. It’s been a week and Genesis customer service can not get a response from service . This is the second Genesis I’ve owned and have always spoke highly about their service, however this current experience has me thinking differently. I’ve read several reviews and what I’m reading my situation is not uncommon for the service department. More
Engine Failure- Kia/Hyundai, update: Hyuandai is going to replace my engine! They have agreed to cover 90% of the engine replacement costs on my 2012 Veloster with 152K miles that threw a rod due to the to replace my engine! They have agreed to cover 90% of the engine replacement costs on my 2012 Veloster with 152K miles that threw a rod due to the poor manufacturing of the GDI engine (known issue with this "Class Action" car. Special thanks to LKNHyuandai, who have been AWESOME to work with through this frustrating process. As for Modern Hyundai of Concord --- where I've purchased three cars (including the Veloster), who not only wouldn't look at the car for SIX WEEKS, and whose general manager publicly asked for me to call him following a poor review online (see below), and yet a week later hasn't returned the phone message he requested --- go suck a bag of rotten eggs. They clearly care about online perceptions of their dealership, but have absolutely ZERO interest in post-purchase customer service/service-recovery. More
I'm beyond frustrated! I dropped my car off Saturday May 18th and got my vehicle back on Monday June 26th for my car to completely stop working and not cut on come July 2nd I dropped my car off Saturday May 18th and got my vehicle back on Monday June 26th for my car to completely stop working and not cut on come July 2nd. I called Hyundai of Concord 3 times and left multiple voicemails for Dennis to return my calls. I spent $799 in repairs to walk away thankful I completed the needed repairs to run correctly. In return I spent $799 for NOTHING! My car won't start! I understand the 4th is tomorrow, but the most professional thing is to address my concern. June 26th I was provided with a diagnostic and NOTHING on my diagnostic signified I had an urgent repairs that would prevent my car from starting. I'm extremely unsatisfied. I trusted Hyundai of Concord being that I live closer than Keffer Hyundai! I'm so disappointed! I will be without a car until who knows how long! I finally got a call back from Dennis who rudely cut me off as I was talking and did not provide a resolution. Dennis advised me Tony the regional manager would be contacting me, but hasn't. I also left two voicemails for Tony and no call back! Staff is not helpful! Run! Don't let this company get any of your money! I was forced to trade in my vehicle due to lack of help. More
Used to love this dealership. Bought 3 cars from them and in-laws bought one as well. Service department is great too when you can get an appointment within 4 weeks. When towed to dealership (the GDI and Theata II engines have known problems and folks are getting 100% new engines on these “class action cars), Modern Hyuandi refused to even look at the car for SIX WEEKS. I’ll be taking my business to LKN Hyuandi moving forward. More
