AMAZING new car buying experience My wife and I were looking to buy a new car to replace my old one which had been destroyed in the hail storm a few months back. We had purchased a new My wife and I were looking to buy a new car to replace my old one which had been destroyed in the hail storm a few months back. We had purchased a new Outback from Shane Monahan at Mike Shaw Subaru back in 2013, and our experience with Shane was truly incredible. So we stopped by Mike Shaw to see if Shane was still there and we couldn't have been happier that he was. We had two models in mind and were interested in test driving both models and different trim levels for each model. It was a pretty busy Saturday, but Shane's full attention was on us and making sure we figured out what car and trim level would best fit our needs (it certainly didn't even seem to bother him that he knew we were not planning to buy a car that day). He let us test drive all of the cars we wanted to and fully explained all of the features and how to use them. At no point did we feel pressured to make a purchase or towards a certain model. It was quite clear Shane's main priority was making sure we found the right car for our needs and that we ended up happy with whatever car we decided to purchase. About a week later we finally decided on a 2017 Impreza and based on our research on Consumer Reports and TrueCar we had figured out the price we were willing to pay and contacted Shane to see what he could do. Shane was completely up front with us, letting us know he did not have the exact car we were looking for, however, he was able to find one in the Denver area and said he could have it ready for us the next day. When it came to price Shane was very straight forward and honest with us letting us know the price point we were looking for was pretty low based on the model and trim level (which we knew from our research), but he was able to make it happen without issue. I've had poor car buying experiences in the past, but never at Mike Shaw Subaru. We could not be happier with both of our car buying experiences with Shane and know when it's time to buy a new car Shane will be the first person we contact. Shane, thanks so much for an incredible car buy experience, we really appreciate all of your time, help, and for making sure we love the cars we drive! More
