He explained every detail about the car to me before I even took it for a drive. His assistant, Lauren, was equally knowledgeable on the ins and outs of my new car. I never felt pressured and felt like Cliff listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend his services for anyone in the market for a new car!!! More

I loved two miles down the road from Mike Shaw and knew I wanted a Subaru this time. I got a rookie salesman and was taken care of. It was the service department afterwards that got me hooked on Mike Shaw. Over the course of five years of ownership and bringing in my car every 5K miles for service I got to know the staff very well. Cliff Swain happened to be one of these people. Cliff is a salesman and I am always skeptical of sales people, Cliff does not fit this mold at all. Cliff had heard about me from the service department and was always very personable when I was looking at the new year of WRX or STI. Cliff took time out of his days when I would come in for test drives of every model I was even faintly curious about or had read about. Two years later I took a friend who needed a car and Cliff assisted like I thought he would. Still to this day my friend thanks me for the introduction to Cliff and how much he helped him. It was time to turn in my WRX for a new Ascent. Cliff was there and as professional as ever. My entire experience with Cliff was even better than the first time I bought from Mike Shaw. Cliff took the time as if it was his first sale of his career. Cliff knows his cars and can mix it up while keeping the entire experience light and easy going. I was given a fair trade in price on my car, Cliff did NOT do the “classic” box payment ruse, Cliff negotiated like a Gentleman and for that reason I will keep coming back while sending people to him. I now live in Palmer Lake and make the drive up to Mike Shaw because of my experiences with outstanding employees like Cliff and Lauren. I drive past AutoNation, Shortline and Groove. I could spend another hour or two writing Cliffs praises and why you should seek him out when you head to Mike Shaw but I do hope the above fore mentioned accolades do speak for themselves. Lauren was mentioned above and is Cliffs Sales assistant. Lauren is extremely polite and knowledgeable. Lauren’s job is to take over once the sale is final and explain all of the features of which ever Subaru you might have bought. Lauren is honest while giving answers and is able to explain things to a large age group. It is very nice and refreshing to have the honesty when talking to someone, yes I did ask a few questions she needed help with. Lauren said she was unsure and went to go get the answer which I greatly appreciated! Where ever Lauren has received her customer service training more people need to go there or have Lauren teach people how to speak and interact while at a sales job. Again thank you to Cliff Swain, Lauren and Mike Shaw for assisting me over the last five years and two vehicles. Your culture has cultivated a very loyal customer for years to come. More
