I went in planning on picking up an older used vehicle that I had found in their online inventory. After discussing some financing options, I was opened up to a few other newer, lower mileage, and higher that I had found in their online inventory. I was pretty dead set on what I wanted when I went in, but my opinion changed after going through a few different options. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I wouldn't have went through with the purchase if I didn't want the offer. Overall, I'd say it was a great experience. More

He respected my opinions and knowledge from the research I had completed ahead of time and found the truck with the exact requirements we were looking for within the price range we were comfortable with. I went in to trade my Saturn SUV in because we were upside down on it and also because Saturn went out of business and didn't want to be in a contract on a car that wouldn't do us any good. We were in a very tough financial spot yet Longmont was still able to get us approved! I live in Colorado Springs,after dealing with several dealerships here in the Springs and not being able to find the 2010 Ford Escape Limited Edition,at a price point that I would be willing to pay I started looking outside the area.I found one online,the model I was looking for,at Longmont Ford.For what looked like a price I could pay,I called to see if the vehicle was still available,before making the 112 mile drive to Longmont.The person I spoke to on the phone said,They had nine to choose from,so my wife and I made the drive.When we arrived we were introduced to Vico Antillon,He was pleasant to work with.I told him what we were looking to purchase,and the price we were able to pay.After very little negotiating,we settled on a price or $59.13 over,my "out the door"price.It was not until that evening,trying to understand the contract,to my surprise,the "out the door"price when you live in Colorado Springs,and purchase a vehicle in Denver,are not the same as you would get in Colorado Springs.The dealer,in Denver,is not required to collect the city taxes for Colorado Springs.They only are required to collect State tax of 2.9% and a 0.1% RTD tax.In essence,after all the taxes are added up,it will require me to pay $1,007.44 to plate the vehicle.Here in the city of Colorado Springs,we pay city tax of 2.5% in addition to,1.0%El Paso County,1.0%PPRTA.THIS ADDITIONAL 4.5% TAX WAS NOT CLEARLY REPRESENTED AT THE TIME OF THE SALE.I would go as far to say,it was avoided like the plague. It was what came next,that really made the car buying experience with Longmont Ford a VERY unpleasant one.I called them to express my concern for what it would cost me to plate the vehicle.In short,neither the sales person nor the sales manager(who was not willing at all to help satisfy my unpleasant experience,and made it sound as if I were only trying to get him to pay my taxes.)had any intention of rectifying the situation at all.The point of my dissatisfaction is,not the money,but the shady way of hiding the additional tax.I hope in righting a review that I will be able to make people aware,that when purchasing a vehicle out side your city limit,know all of the cost's To sum up,my unpleasant experience with Longmont Ford was "BEING HAD".Hope this helps.JA More
My experience with Longmont Ford was very pleasant, I felt welcome from the start. I was ready for the "hard sell", but didn't get it. After I decided on a car that suited my needs Vico and his manager looked over my trade in and made what I felt was a very reasonable offer that I accepted. After doing all the paper work involved I drove away with what I felt was a very fair deal on the car I wanted. I would recommend Longmont Ford and Vico Antillon highly! More
My experience with Longmont Ford was quite a surprise to say the least. I have a tendency to be a little cynical, and honestly, I was expecting a barrage of salespersons fighting for the sale, high pressure say the least. I have a tendency to be a little cynical, and honestly, I was expecting a barrage of salespersons fighting for the sale, high pressure sales tactics, and absurd financing based on my credit situation, which is no credit vs. bad credit. From the moment I walked into their showroom, I felt an extremely positive vibe, its as if all my preconceived notions of buying a used car was instantly dispelled and a feeling of confidence and optimism emerged. Once through the door, I was greeted promptly and courteously and asked how I may be helped. This also had a bewildering effect on me as I had to actually request to speak to someone in the sales department rather than the sales cavalry just automatically showing up. Meeting with Special Financing team member Travis Holtman was, in my estimation, the pinnacle of my car buying experience, and the reason I decided to go with Longmont Ford. You know how you can instantly sense upon first meeting someone that they are as honest as a day is long? Enough said. I would recommend Longmont Ford to anyone, unless they are a real jerk, then I'd have to recommend any other. That way I know my peeps at L.F. will be treated with respect, honor and dignity by anyone I send over, exactly the way they treat you! More

I have had a problem trying to purchase a vehicle from other dealerships in the area as my credit scores are somewhat less than steller. He was great, and so was everyone else I came in contact with at Longmont Ford. Longmont Ford is now my number one place to purchase a vehicle, and the ONLY place I would recommend to my friends.
