When I went to Jim Hudson Toyota and told them my situation ( Being upside down by $3500.00 ) I was told they could not help me and I needed to pay down my current car loan. Toyota center did not even have the car I was interested in. When I went to Dick Dyer, they worked with my wife and I and after picking out a car ( a 5 door 09 Yaris ) they got me together with the business office and we managed ot work out financing that not only met my budget, but lowered the payments from what I was currently paying. They were terrific. Very helpful, caring and professional. I know take my Camry and my Yaris there for service. They are one of the best dealer I have ever worked with. Thanks to David Nuddleman for all his help and getting my wife the car she wanted. Jack Columbia, SC More
MILITARY, I ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! I visited this dealership because Mike Humphrey called me repeatedly. I thought I might be able to get a good deal on a used Scion--the used one at I visited this dealership because Mike Humphrey called me repeatedly. I thought I might be able to get a good deal on a used Scion--the used one at Dick Dyer costs as much as a new one at Toyota Center. No one spoke to me when I entered the dealership. It was unclear where to go. Mike Humphrey argued with me on a number of points and demonstrated his lack of knowledge and arrogance. He argued that the Pontiac Vibe does not have a Toyota engine. The Vibe does in fact have a Toyota engine, as he later found out. He also argued with me about the validity of some of my power of attorney When I pointed out to him that I didn't think it was appropriate for him to make that assessment, as he is not a lawyer, he argued that he had not argued with me. The dealership would not work with me on getting the car financed in both mine and my husband's name. My husband is away in the Navy and I have to do everything with a Power of Attorney. The dealership offered to mail the paperwork to my husband and have him mail it back, but I thought this was unnecessary since I have a valid power of attorney. I had NO trouble at all with Toyota Center, which apparently, uses the same financing company. More

I October 26, 2009 RE: 2010 Toyota RAV 4 600 Miles on the Car Excellent Service and Stand Behind the Car "I am a very unhappy Toyota owner. I will report back...but I think I'm finished with this dealership (Dick Dyer Toyota)" was how I reported my experience with my 2007 Rav 4 V-6 with 22,124 miles on August 9, 2009. Now, it's 2.5 months later and once again I am a happy Toyota owner. My new 2010 Toyota RAV 4 Limited 4 cylinder has about 600 miles on it! I have to praise the dealership on their redemption in my eyes. I met with Gary Armstrong, the General Sales Manager, to air my concerns about my previously purchased Dick Dyer 2007 RAV 4 V-6. Not only did Mr. Armstrong listen attentively to my concerns, but he worked hard and fast to resolve my concerns. Mr. Armstrong brought in different Toyota models for me to drive and worked with my sales associate, Ric Player,to quickly get me in the new cars so that I could make my final decision. In the end he and Ric Player put me in the exact new car I wanted including color and packages. We easilty worked through negotiating a trade-in price and a new car price. It was good to be treated as a valued customer...and it felt even better that Dick Dyer Toyota was ready to stand behind their product. I will report back as the days of my new car ownership march on, but I am tickled pink with the resolution offered through the dealership. They went the extra mile(s). Also, Jeff Bowers, New Car Sales Manager, and Jeff Bowers, Finance Manager, and Thomas Roman, Sales Associate, were gracious in assiting with closing the deal. More
I am not the topical person to post anything about anyone I am not the topical person to post anything about anyone but i wanted to share this with everyone that's in the market for a Toyota product. I went I am not the topical person to post anything about anyone but i wanted to share this with everyone that's in the market for a Toyota product. I went to this Dick Dyer dealership 3 times the week of Aug 3rd, no one helped me or spoke to me about my interest in a Toyota Tundra. After thinking about it I thought maybe I should have walked in and asked to speak to a salesperson myself instead of thinking they needed to come to me... maybe this is there way of no pressure selling. I went back on Sat,Aug 8th with my family and a salesman(Thomas) met me as soon as I opened my car door in the parking lot. He asked me if he could help me, I told him I was in the market for a 2010 Toyota Tundra we walked over and looked at a few models. I asked Thomas for a price. We went inside to do pages and pages of paperwork after about 45 mins I was still waiting for a price. Thomas finally told me they had 3 vehicles on the lot that fits my criteria as we are walking outside my wife and girls heading out the front door and Thomas and I heading out a side door to locate the truck I asked Thomas again for a price he said "I want to get the truck pulled around first to see if you like it" remember all the paperwork I mentioned above I was giving him all this information so I knew I was going to like the truck if they had it in stock. As a walk to the front to catch up with my family we wait about 10-15 mins for Thomas to drive the truck around. I start to walk around to see if I can find him STILL WAITING ON JUST A PRICE Thomas drives around in a red Camry he stoped to say he was still looking for the truck??? My family and I got back into our car and drove off. Thomas calls me 5 mins after we leave to see where we went I told him I just wanted the price he still would not answer me asking what time I would be back I told him I was going to someone who wanted to sell me a vehicle at that time Thomas hangs up the phone on me. WOW.... I bought the truck I was looking for that same day from Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo, SC. I was serious about buying one today to bad Dick Dyer was not serious about selling one. More
i visited this place last weekend (june 6 2009) and found out that this a LAND OF LIERS. The agents there were very hard to believe. The odometer readings are manipulated. I visited this dealership today and was looking for a potential car to look at. As soon I got to the dealership I was greeted by one of the car dealers. He came across as dishonest and extremely rude. potential car to look at. As soon I got to the dealership I was greeted by one of the car dealers. He came across as dishonest and extremely rude. And then later I ended up talking to the assistant manager, who managed to be even more of a jerk, along with the fact he lied to my face. Needless to say I will never consider doing business with this car dealership again, nor will I recommend Dick Dyer Toyota to any honest person with integrity. Don't get me wrong, I know there are not many trusted car dealers out there, but the people at this car dealership ALL struck me as being slimey. Anyone that will lie to my face to ensure a sale will surely lose any potential custumer. And just a suggestion, if you happen to want to test drive a car they will want to do a credit check so be prepared to give them your license, because they say it is Company Policy. I've got good credit, but I don't trust some slimey car salesman with looking at any personal information. Maybe if these car salesman knew what integrity was I would reconsider. More

I've rebuilt three MR2's with Toyota Center's helpful parts guys. That I'm a nice guy?" I explained that I am an MR2 enthusiast and was earned my discount at the other place. He said nothing more about it, typed up my info and told me to pay the cashier.
