Middletown Service Department deserves less than one star. I'm very disappointed with Shane Smith!!! I bought my 2019 Accord in twice this August and once in July. I complained that the car was making a lot of noise while backing up. This only happened while in reverse. The first visit, "they couldn't find or hear the noise" and applied some type of lubricant." Also, I told Shane on August 20th that not only was the noise getting louder but I could feel a grind/vibration. On all three occasions, I was told "they couldn't hear or find anything wrong with the car." I spent over three hours there on Aug 20th. and Shane suggested that I, "pay $310 to cut the front rotors and $310 for the back." I ask, "would this stop the noise"? He said, "maybe but we have to start somewhere!" What? What!!! I called my son, after his arrival, Shane preceded to say, the rotors and brakes were both good so that wasn't the problem." Really, so why the xxxx suggest spending $620? I left disappointed and decided to take the car the following week to a Westchester Honda dealer. Seven days after leaving "Honda of Middletown" on my way to Westchester, the car breaks down on the highway. The toll truck driver insisted the noise was coming from the transmission. I called and left a few messages for Shane to call me and left a message with Christine/Christina for him to call. Guess what...I'm still waiting! I've bought three Brand New Hondas, two from Middletown..I will NEVER buy from this specific dealer again!! Honda should consider NEW service reps and mechanics!!! More

Middletown Honda Service Depart. has been very uneasy to deal with when it comes to my 2021 Honda Civic. I am furious about the level of service that I have been treated with. I have has been very uneasy to deal with when it comes to my 2021 Honda Civic. I am furious about the level of service that I have been treated with. I have been lied to and misled about the issues pertaining to my car. I'm not sure why they have issues with fixing cars still under warranty and wanting to charge for warranty repairs. I have brought my car to this dealership 6 times since February 21, 2023 until now August 7, 2024 for same exact issue. Since that time until now my 2021 Honda Civic has been making noise when turning. Every time that I have brought the car there, they say they have not heard anything. On the week of July 17, 2024, I bring the car into service because the axle is clicking when turning. Now the noise was starting to reveal itself. I advised Shane the Service Advisor that 1 of the axles were making a clicking noise when I brought it in. I leave the car for service and they charge me $162.13 for a diagnostic fee, and says they could not confirm an issue at this time. I go to leave and I hear the same noise that they say that they cannot confirm. Finally they proceed to write it up under warranty. Send me an email that they will refund me $162.13 which I never received. I call Shane and ask when can I bring the car in for service? Shane states they are not going to warranty the car because it was previously fixed in that area. I bring the car back Monday August 5, 2024, and speak with the Service Manager Christina, and she states, yes we have the part available and it will be warrantied. She tells me they ordered the left side axle. I advised her it was the right axle. She states we will take a look and take care of it. I then proceed to speak with the Service Advisor Shane, and he ask me was I going to fix the car. I stated yes. He says the cost will be $700 and some change. I advised Shane to speak with his manager. He then calls her on the phone and questions her about the service for the car. At that point I felt something suspicious was being said. Shane gets off the phone with his manger Christina, and states okay, and proceeds with checking the car into service. Shane then calls me around 3pm to advise that they were not able to remove the part because it was too tight, and asked if I can leave the car overnight. I advised that I can bring it back the next day. I dropped the car off Tuesday August 6, 2024 at 4:30 pm. Wednesday August 7, 2024 no call with a heads up with the service and what needed to be done or what was done to the car. I call Shane at 4:30 pm, he states the car is finish, I'm just getting your paperwork together now so that it will be ready when you come. 10 minutes later I receive a text that the car is ready. I call for the shuttle, and was advised there is no shuttle at this time. She puts me on hold for 30 minutes, and then hangs up. I go to get myself together and around 6:15 pm, and they call me back and say, the shuttle is outside and has been out there for 5 minutes. Keep in mind I never said my name nor address for where the shuttle was going to pick me up from. I say no one ever called to say the shuttle was on its way. She states we called you a couple of times already and it went to voicemail. I advised I did not receive any calls and there where no voicemails. The shuttle drops me off at the dealership and Shane is not there. Another Service Advisor assisted, and says my cost is $689.58. He states that the left axle was changed. I advised him that it was supposed to be the right axle. My response that it was supposed to be under warranty. He calls Shane & Christina and they both supposedly tell him that I was advised when I wasn't about the cost of the repair. He then says either you make the payment or leave the car. I walked away furious because I specifically said to them it was the right axle when I left them the car on Monday & Tuesday, and they proceeded to change the incorrect side and now want to charge me for their wrong doing.
