I recently purchased a new 2009 Hyundai Sonata from Herb Connolly Hyundai and I can say that the service, professionalism and friendliness were among the best I have encountered in my experience with dealer Connolly Hyundai and I can say that the service, professionalism and friendliness were among the best I have encountered in my experience with dealers. The saleswoman I worked with was extremely knowledgeable, straightforward and made the buying process simple easy. She even came in on her off day when I picked up the car to make sure everything went smoothly. As for the car itself, I did my homework and got a great price as a result that was well below dealer invoice and included a bunch of extras. Great overall experience and I look forward to doing business with Herb Connolly in the future. More
My 2000 Ford Focus had finally had it and I decided on Hyundai due in part to the great warranty, especially these days. We actually went to several dealerships during the week, often arriving 20-30 minu Hyundai due in part to the great warranty, especially these days. We actually went to several dealerships during the week, often arriving 20-30 minutes prior to them closing for the night (we were looking during weekdays after leaving work) and we often found ourselves wandering the dealer lots without anyone asking us anything which was strange. We arrived at Hyundai maybe 6 minutes prior to them closing and started looking around. Roy happened to be outside saying bye to another customer and noticed me and my wife. Instead of saying we're closing soon he gently asked if there was anything he could help us with. We told him we were interested in the 2009 Elantra Touring edition which he took the time to show us and even asked if we wanted to take it on a test drive even though it meant he'd stay late. We decided to return the next day rather than keep him much later (we were already 20 minutes over closing) and he greeted us again, setting us up for the test drive on the Touring model. He also mentioned that if we were interested, we may be able to get an even better deal on the 2008 Elantra (not the Touring) if we wanted to go towards a Sedan. In the end we decided to go for the 2009 Elantra Touring as it fit our needs to a T. Roy was great the entire time, very knowledgeable and even got us an ipod cable for the new car free of charge. It's amazing how much customer sales can influence vehicle selection but it certainly did for us. Very nice people over at Hyundai, it's a small dealership compared to what's in the area but they treat everyone there very politely and certainly go the extra mile. More
I have been in business with Herb Connolly Hyundai since 2000, the year I purchased my first Elantra there. Over the 8 years following, I would never experience any problems regarding the performance and re 2000, the year I purchased my first Elantra there. Over the 8 years following, I would never experience any problems regarding the performance and reliability of the car. The reason is twofold: yes, the car may be well-built, but it was also the routine maintenance service at the dealership garage which really prolonged the life of the car, saving me substantial amounts of money in the long-run. This is why I was so confident when I entered Herb Connolly to purchase a new 2009 Elantra GLS. The salesperson was extremely informative and polite; never pressuring me into coerced "negotiations" and explaining several money-saving options available to me had I been interested in purchasing a new car. When I did in fact commit to purchasing a new Elantra, the negotiating process was fair. But I have to be frank on the matter for those people reading this who may admittedly not have a strong backbone at arguing for a lower price. Stand firm on your own terms, or they'll put golden handcuffs on you right before your eyes and you may end up paying a grand more than you hoped. These guys in sales have mastered the art of negotiation, believe me. The staff at Herb Connolly are some of the nicest guys I've met from any car dealerships, and I've been to 2 others in my car search this year. I had absolutely no regrets by the time I pulled out in my new 2009 Elantra which I expect to last me until 2017 or longer. ~RR More
I was looking to find a dealer to trade my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe and Herb Connolly was our neighborhood dealer. I stopped in and asked to see a low mileage comporable model. Everything in the process went very smoothly from seeing the stock on hand through the financing process. All touchpoints went very smoothly and no pressure to purchase was felt. The service department has been consistently excellent in the the years I have had my Hyundai vehicles serviced there. None of the work I have had done there on the car has ever needed to be repeated or cor the the years I have had my Hyundai vehicles serviced there. The service on my vehicle has always been done on time and within the estimate provided in advance by the service manager. More
I would say the dealership is ok, but getting regular service is more expensive than at a none dealer. I would definetly go back for regular service if ,for example, an oil change was $21.95 rather tha service is more expensive than at a none dealer.
