Adam, Thanks for your note. In fact, it is a serious problem and you might ask Doug why he did not see it that way. As I said, I have paid for the tires to be recycled or whatever heaven tires go to but I changed my mind and took them out of the trash pile to show some folks from various state agencies and the media what passes inspection at the dealership. Of course my new tires will be subject to poor wear until I pay for a re alignment that the dealership neglected to do... I have no idea right now how much that will cost but I have already spent more than I should have.

We regret the customer's problems and have personally contacted her to try to resolve the issue as soon as we became aware of it. The car had passed inspection when she took delivery. When she had her problem, a tire store told her she needed new rubber which she purchased. I brought the problem to the attention of the owner and we offered to do a complete alignment at no charge and also give her a service credit for the full amount she spent on the tires. We would have the Service Manager personally show her the work performed and any parts replaced so she could be sure of the quality of the job done. She refused to accept the offer or to allow the shop to see her vehicle.

The Herb Connolly response to my review states that the car they sold me passed inspection. In fact the car did not pass inspection as sold based on the standards of the Registry of Massachusetts. This is a safety issue not a friendly perky issue. No one should have to purchase four tires within a month of a sale. The tires on the car they sold me were defective and the dealership knew it. The offer they made had nothing to do with paying me for tires. The Attorney General's Office is handling this now as the Registry of Motor vehicles did an investigation and found the car to be not worth of a sticker. Perhaps the dealership will lose the right to give out stickers.. Who knows?? I am in possession of the tires so there is no "he said, she said" business. What you see is what I got and the dealership DID NOT respond appropriately given lots of opportunity to do so...
