I am a long-time customer of this dealership, and my family has bought 4 cars from them over the last 10 years. We just purchased a Sonata. We will no longer recommend Connolly for either sales or service. They have just lost two new sales from my family: My aging Accent will need to be replaced in the near future. I will go elsewhere. My son just bought a new Sonata from Mirak Hyundai, Arlington, based on my advice to stay away from Connolly. Why? Lack of response to a sales commitment, and a long history of overpriced service charges. Service issue first: Over the years for numerous service needs, I found I could check prices at other dealers and found them lower. Sometimes a lot lower. I would tell the service department I could go to xxx dealer for a lower price and Connolly service would match the price. Very annoying to have to go through that process. I stayed with them only for convenient location. My strongest issue is a response to a sales commitment. Both salesman and manager did not follow through. Sales people are experts at being friendly and helpful at getting a sale completed, so of course all my experiences with the sales staff were pleasant. That's expected. When we bought 2009 Hynudai Sonata I observed the carpets were worn. The salesman, Roy Porter, said - No problem, I'll get some for you. On delivery, the carpets were not there, and he said - I need to get some for you, it will take a few days and I'll let you know. I came in a week later with a question about a warranty detail and met Roy, asked about the carpets. He said I told you I'd get them, will have them soon. I said fine, just let us know when you have them. I came in a few days later to tell him my son was going to buy a new Hyunudai, very soon, and I would bring him in. Asked again, how are you doing with the carpet. Reply was - I told you I'd get them - will have them soon. A few days later - still no response - so I called and left a message I was very disappointed, and expected the carpets ASAP. I also called the sales manager and told him lack of response from Roy about the carpets was losing him a new Hyundai sale, and that we had bought 4 cars from Connolly and a new sale to my son would go elsewhere. I said I expected the carpets ASAP. His reply was the sale ("certified") needed to have the carpet item included in the sales document. This is NOT the way to treat a customer. At all steps of the sale the carpets were mentioned, and the salesman handled it as if it were a routine thing, and did not include it in the sales document. This is a Connolly dealership issue, not a customer oversight. OK. Problems happen. But a total lack of response to my complaints is all I get. NO ONE called me back, either salesman or manager. That is inexcusable. Incidentally, carpets are cheap at the service department, I checked. About half the price of what they are on a new car sales sticker. This is not a financial issue for the dealer, but one of respect and service. In the future I will go elsewhere, even though Connolly is a short way off. And, yes, my Accent WILL soon need replacing. I'm liking the 2011 Sonata - my son's new Limited edition one is wonderful and I'm envious. More

Great experience and friendly staff. Loved the no pressure sales approach. I have never been a fan of the "typical" car buying experience and like the fact that we were actually able to come back to pressure sales approach. I have never been a fan of the "typical" car buying experience and like the fact that we were actually able to come back to the dealership 3 times to look at different cars and options, take test drives and get educated by all that were involved. The knowledgeable staff helped in the decision making process....making our final selection an educated one. Justin was a great first contact and knew all of his "stuff", unfortunately he was not working the day we sealed the deal, but Greg and Doug stepped in to make it all happen. Travis....the finance guy....very professional with his presentation of all the paper work necessary to get all of this done in a very short period of time. We were in and out for the final sale in less than an hour and a half. Negotiations on the final sales price were done primarily with Doug Connolly and I can't say enough about his professionalism and willingness to work to our final agree on price. This transparency and no-nonsense approach is present in the rest of their service, from financing to warranty service and maintenance. Mike Cordeiro was a fantastic help in finding the best vehicle for us, and the other sales people we interacted with were great as well. Not only would I recommend this dealer to others, I would not hesitate to go back a 3rd time when it comes time for another vehicle purchase. More
I went in for major repairs and decided to trade my vehicle for a used one. The negotiations were rigorous but business-like and I came away very happy. I walked into Herb Connolly and was greeted by Greg he was extremely helpful from the very beginning. I was looking to trade my lease car and buy an SUV. While looking through the cars I was approached by Wens Profete who asked us if had any questions on the car we were looking at. He answered all the questions and was very courteous while I checked the vehicle out. I agreed to take a test drive and I like the car. Wens answered more questions and asked if I was interested in it. I was and brought up that the price listed on the window was $1,000 more than the price I had seen online. So I decided to start negotiating on the price and It was agreed that we could start at the internet price! The following day we agreed to a deal and it was right in my budget which made it even better. The dealership as a whole was great. No one pressured me to make a deal or played games with prices all-in-all it was a great experience and I would defintly do business with Herb Connolly Hyundai and would recommend friends and family to go there!
