Besides waiting about 3 weeks to get my truck in, the communication while my truck was being diagnosed and worked on was lacking. When I finally received word that they weren't sure what the problem was communication while my truck was being diagnosed and worked on was lacking. When I finally received word that they weren't sure what the problem was and that it might be the knock sensor, it was recommended I do not have the work done as the cost would be about $2800, and they were not sure if this was actually the problem. When I picked up my vehicle it said on the paperwork that the customer refused to have work done. I never refused! It was recommended that I do not have the work done due to the cost and the inability to diagnose the actual problem. I guess "CYA" was in effect. I am also extremely disappointed in Ford, that my 2019 F-150 with 34K miles has a possible knock sensor issue but it would not be covered under warranty as I was told the knock sensor is not considered part of the engine or drivetrain. Even though you have to take the engine apart to fix that issue, hence the $2800 cost!!! More
