I had received a pre-approval letter from my lender, so I thought the process would be a snap. I went online and found a used truck that we thought would fit the bill. I talked to a salesperson there and explained the urgency of our situation asking what I could do to expedite the process. I was told to complete the online credit application and bring in the customary documentation. I did all of that. When I arrived at the dealership, my husband and I parked our car and got out. Nobody came out to greet us. We walked the lot looking for the truck we found online, found it and looked at it. Nobody came out to greet us. After looking at it, we felt the bed may be too small, so we started looking at other used trucks. Nobody came out to greet us. I went inside to find my salesperson. I say 5 or 6 salesmen walking around, but not my salesperson, so I went to the front desk. The receptionist was on the phone giving someone directions. This went on for what seemed like forever. She didn't place them on hold, so I left. I called my salesperson from my cell phone to let him know our first impressions of the dealership and tell him that we were leaving. He explained that they were short staffed and he was upstairs. He came down after a bit and out to the parking lot. I went in and provided him with the documentation. Two hours later and still no approval on our pre-approval, so the salesperson suggested that we leave and he'd call me later. This was at 2PM, so by 5PM when I hadn't heard from him, we went to another dealer and bought a Ford F-150. The difference between the two dealers was like night and day. More
Every experience I have had at Randall Reed has been horrible. I bought a Brand new Ford Escape titanium in June and was so excited for my first new car buying experience to be wonderful. First, horrible. I bought a Brand new Ford Escape titanium in June and was so excited for my first new car buying experience to be wonderful. First, I was lied to by the sales guy just trying to push me to get the car. He promised me oil changes and tires for life and then pushed me to the back to talk to a finance guy telling me the wait would be short. After waiting for several hours I get to the finance department and hear that everything he promised me couldn’t happen!!!!! That is the only reason I was back there even talking numbers… I was not happy at all. I felt tricked and manipulated. They finally talked me into staying by giving me a deal to get the tires and oil changes for 60,000 miles (OUT OF MY POCKET… UNLIKE FREE LIKE I WAS PROMISED!!!). So my sales experience on the first day was horrible… but I ignored that because I LOVED my new car and I figured everything else would be great. A couple months later I come back for my first oil change, excited about how easy it was gonna be and one less thing I had to worry about paying. Well I get there with all my paper work and was told something wasn’t signed in there files and I would have to pay for my first oil change… AND that I needed to go back to the finance department and WAIT to talk to someone to get it all fixed. I was MAD again and the sales lady said she would “help” by using my “free” oil change that every customer gets when they buy a car. I had tried to call to schedule an appointment for my oil change to make it fast but was told Saturdays was best because all they do is oil changes and it wouldn’t take long at all. I sit in the chairs in the actual garage during my oil change thinking it would take 20 minutes tops... not knowing it would actually take several hours!!!!! (I could have gotten better service at WALMART) I even had to ask for a band-aid because there was a razor blade sitting right beside my chair and it sliced my finger open!!!!!! No one once came and checked on me and told me how long my car would be… I had to check with them every 30 minutes and was continuously told it was almost done. UGH! I am not looking forward to my next oil change and would rather PAY to get it done right! Then, this morning I woke up with a flat tire and took my car in to get it fixed… still frustrated with my last experience but thinking to myself that there is NO WAY it could get worse. I dropped my car off around 8:30 and showed them the tire. I was told to wait in the waiting room and they would let me know when it was done! Again… I was thinking it would take 3o minutes tops to patch a tire and I could get to work… WRONG!!!! An hour and a half later I go into the garage to check on the progress and they say “OH THAT IS YOUR CAR!?!?! WE HAVE BEEN WONDERING WHO’S IT WAS!!!!!” How hard is it to communicate and know whose car is whose!!?!?!?! Did they come into the waiting room and ask whose car it was??? NOPE!!!!! DIDN’T PUT ANY EFFORT INTO IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! Just left my car sitting in the garage waiting for me to ask!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!! Then they ask who I talked to and it turns out he was the SERVICE MANAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They tell me to just take my car and leave without saying sorry or anything!!!!!! I ask for some information regarding my tire and what caused it to go flat because it was brand new… if there was a nail in it or what??? And all they say back to me is “I don’t know, just a flat tire repair. Bye”!!!!!!! Seriously!?!??!? They didn’t even tell me what was wrong with my tire!!!!!!!! Which makes me wonder if they even did anything to fix it or if it just sat in the garage and got filled with air?!?!!??!??! After leaving this morning I call to try to get an answer from someone professional. I ask for the Service Manager and was continuously put through to his voice mail with no answer. No one EVER answers the phone in the service department… my boyfriend had his F-250 towed there to get fixed this summer and he could never get ahold of anyone to hear what was wrong with his truck. I cannot even believe this department is still in service because of how bad they are with customers. The sad thing is that probably the only returning customers they get are the ones who bought a warranty like me and REGRET IT!!!!! I am furious with all of these horrible experiences and I don’t ever want to deal with this company ever again. I will NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE because I have absolutely nothing nice to say!!!! I regret buying my car here and I wish I didn’t pay extra money to get “HORRIBLE SERVICE” for the next 50,000 miles. I wrote this message about 3 weeks ago so I would remember in detail everything that happened. Since then I have talked to five different people (sales manager, service manager, customer service…), all of these people heard my story and told me they would call me back to tell me what they could do for me and I have not received one call. I have left messages with several of them leaving my phone number and telling them to call me. On my last message to the Customer Service guy I even said to call me back and tell me how to get rid of my service plans because I didn’t want ANYTHING to do with this company ever again. NO RESPONSE and that was a week ago. This company does not care at all if there customer is happy! Rediculous!!! More

I was looking for a smaller car with better gas mileage. I found a Nissan Sentra on Randall Reed's website that was exactly what I was looking for. Since I live five hours away in Kansas City, I called the I found a Nissan Sentra on Randall Reed's website that was exactly what I was looking for. Since I live five hours away in Kansas City, I called the dealership to be more information. After discussing the condition of the vehicle with the salesman and negotiating a price that made it worth my time to fly down there, I decided to go purchase the car. I flew down and was picked up at the airport by a different salesman in the car I was planning on purchasing. It reeked of smoke. At first I thought it was the individual but I later found cigarette ashes on the floorboard and dashboard. The dealership knew going in that I was planning on paying cash for the car so when I showed up they hurried me into F&I to complete the paperwork. It took over three hours to get the paperwork done because there were so many mistakes. They had the odometer reading wrong (off by 1800 miles). They also had the price wrong. When I raised this issue they asked if I had any proof of the agreed upon price. Luckily, I had an e-mail from the salesman where I had asked about some missing buttons on the raido and if they would be fixed. He said that they would not repair it for the price I was paying. If I hadn't had that e-mail, they would not have honored the price after I flew down there to buy the car. After I inspected the vehicle, it was not as described over the phone. There are minor fractures in the paint in multiple places. It looks like it was in a hail storm and they did a cheap version of paintless dent repair that damaged the paint. The tire pressure monitoring light stays on all the time. They knew that since I had flown down there I didn't relaly have a choice but to buy a car. After the three hours trying to get the paperwork correct, I started my long drive home after 8 p.m. After I got the vehicle up to highway speed, I noticed that it had a distinct shake. I assumed that one of the tires just wasn't balanced properly, no big deal since I already planned to get the oil changed and tires rotated/balanced immediately since I didn't know when it was done last. After getting home and having the tires balanced the next day, the problem wasn't fixed. It wound up being an issue with the tires. So after flying down to buy the vehicle at a great price, I wound up turning around and immediately paying $220 to replace the pressure sensor in one tire and $500 for two new tires, a rotation, balance, and allignment. Suddenly, the great price wasn't so great. Of course, when the paint fractures and starts chipping, it will need a paint job to prevent rust which will be another $2000-$3000 dollars. No wonder they were so anxious to give me a great price on the car. I've tried to contact the salesman, left multiple voicemails and e-mails but can't get a response. I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. They are only concerned with selling a car and getting you out the door. They didn't even bother to fill up the gas tank or clean the car before I left. More
