I was on the hunt for a E350 wagon and since I was already going to be in Plano for the weekend I decided to schedule a test drive over the internet. I scheduled the test drive for a car earlier in th already going to be in Plano for the weekend I decided to schedule a test drive over the internet. I scheduled the test drive for a car earlier in the week but they sold it by the time I got there so I test drove another one which was fine. Scott was busy with a customer so he handed me off to another sales consultant who made zero effort to explain anything about the car that would have made me wanted to buy it. He basically sat in the car with me for the first 10 minutes until I got a feel for the knobs and buttons then even offered that I could take the test drive on my own. Given that I was not familiar with the area I declined so we went on a short drive around the dealership. When we came back the guy said "I'm going to be honest with you, I really need to make a sale so if you would buy a car today that would really help me out". I don't know what kind of person walks in for a test drive on a $65K car and ends up buying it on the spot, but if I was going to spend this kind of money on a car it was going to be a special order. After the guy realized it was not going to be a sale he kind of disappeared and when I asked if I could look at the GL models he told us they're on the 3rd floor of the garage and I was free to walk around. Not the service I expected but it was more about this sales guy and not about Scott, his only mistake was pawning me off on this fellow. When we finally got a hold of Scott for a couple minutes I asked if he had color swatches or a catalog with paint samples as it's impossible to order a car color based on an internet photo. He had neither but offered to e-mail me a PDF document, not exactly what I needed. So when it came to price negotiating for an order vehicle Scott said there was a $5,000 rebate in effect that would greatly reduce the price of the car. It was a rebate nobody has heard of and I talked to several dealers as Scott first told me that they had no empty build slots for a custom order so I was seeking alternate dealers who could build me a car. Scott said the $5,000 was for this month only but it should not change by the time the car would get here and he had build slots available on the next day when I told him I could order one from an out of state dealer and he didn't know why the system did not allow builds the day before. Given that no other dealer could confirm such a huge discount I finally put Scott's feet to the fire and located a compromise car, by calling a dozen dealers myself and looking for cars on inbound boats, and told him that I would take that one as that would be here before the end of the month and I could get the $5,000 discount on it. At that point he finally had to come clean and realize "he made a mistake" and the wagon was excluded from the deal this month as well as any other month. At this point I told him in an e-mail I'd be ordering from another dealer and I haven't heard from him since. No apology, not even a reply. He was all excited and all talk until he thought he had an easy sale but as soon as things became complicated he dropped the ball, helped me none and tried to lure me in with a unrealistic discount. Terrible Service! If you are financially successful an want to purchase a car, stay away from Mercedes. I bought a new 2014 ML350 and started having issues by the 2nd week. Then i call and ask specificall want to purchase a car, stay away from Mercedes. I bought a new 2014 ML350 and started having issues by the 2nd week. Then i call and ask specifically for a mercedes loaner which they said "absolutely, dont worry its taken care of" and I get to the dealership and they walk me over to Enterprise rent a car. Ridiculous! They said they only have 5 loaner vehicles. This is unacceptable for a high end car dealership. Maybe its a sign that Mercedes is no longer high end. BMW had much better customer service and always had a loaner for me. I would avoid this dealership at all costs. They know how to make Mercedes feel like a Cheap Used Car dealership. I wont be Leasing another Mercedes for my Business ever again. They sucked 10 years ago and continue to do so. Thats what I get for giving them another chance after 10 whole years! More
Tony, was great! He was very knowledgable and made my buying experience easy. He and the dealership treated me fairly. My experiences with this Mercedes-Benz of Plano was unpleasant. The minute the sale was done the sales person like wash his hands and move on and other sales person sends std. template email. There is unpleasant. The minute the sale was done the sales person like wash his hands and move on and other sales person sends std. template email. There is no curtsy phone call to follow-up to see customer is happy with the purchase etc. The wheel locks I got as part of the deal had a hard time with service department to install because they want to charge $50 and top of my discovery mats that got part of the deal were defective and no one had paid any attention when they installed on the car what so called luxury car!. I have to go several emails to follow up in order to get response back. I thing Park Place Mercedes-Benz is most likely better customer service dealer. I had dealt with BMW and infinity dealers and they are much focus on customer and treat with courtesy for their customers. Even my KIA dealer follows up and gives courtesy calls whenever I do car services. The Finance associate is trying to sell me at a much higher rate than it is posted on web for maintenance package, I have to alert him to show the printed price from Mercedes-Benz site. The manger also I did not felt that friendly during closing the deal. Overall I am very disappoint dealing with this dealer and will not recommend this dealer for sales or even services. Sorry, I did not feel they treat their customer right! More
They 'performed' a service B on my vehicle, when I picked it up, the breaks had a squeak. Waited for a couple of days hoping it would go away. Called the service manager, left a message. no return c I picked it up, the breaks had a squeak. Waited for a couple of days hoping it would go away. Called the service manager, left a message. no return call. Called the Service Director, no return call. Paying $500 for a service, and not even acknowledging something that they had not done right. At a Mercedes dealership? Stay away from these guys! More
My dad took his Mercedes in for a scheduled maintenance and got it back making a noise in the front end. My dad took it back immediately and they said they would check it out. They came back and said it wa and got it back making a noise in the front end. My dad took it back immediately and they said they would check it out. They came back and said it was the drive train so they charged my dad and fixed it. Guess what? it wasn't the drive train. The car still made the same noise! My dad took it back and they said they would take care of it. They came back and said it was the engine and that it had some cut cables. The only people under the hood were these people and had the nerve to charge my dad to repair it. So my dad paid the charge. Now the total bill is up to $5000.00 and guess what? it wasn't the engine, the car is still making the same noise. So my dad didn't even drive it off the lot and my brother finally got a mechanic and drove with him to replicate the sound, so finally they are making headway but guess what? They want to charge my dad $2000.00 dollars more to fix it. They made repairs to my Dad's car that wasn't necessary because according to the scheduled maintenance that was done, the car was fine. These people are dishonest and would never recommend them to anyone. More
