To start the car smelled like smoke and there was an issue with a brake fluid error. I was told they could clean the smell and would fix the error. They cleaned it but the smell came back within a couple of days but that is my fault for believing it to be possible. They did NOT fix the brake fluid issue and said they would do so when I came back to pick up the title. They did not have the title when I bought the car. Ok not great but sure I can come back in a day or 2 to pick it up. It is over an hour away but fine. Also I bought cash as the car was an insurance replacement and they said they would not register the car and get plates as I need to do that myself. I call my insurance to switch the car and he is not pleased. They are supposed to do the title and registration (especially as I paid the doc fee) regardless of if they have a loan on the vehicle and that it is a lot of frustration to do it yourself. Ok I call my rep and tell him what I would like to do. I call the business office to tell them what I would like to do. I am trying to transfer any money needed to take care of this and crickets. They refuse to return my calls. I call the business office. I call the GM. I call my insurance guy who calls them directly and nothing. Apparently it is also illegal to sell a vehicle you do not have a title for. So now I possess a vehicle that I paid for which has no title. So I call every week for 4 straight weeks. I have no plates for the vehicle. No registration and havent paid the sales tax. On the fourth week I get a text saying they got the title and would send it even though I had been told I need to pick it up so it isnt lost in the mail and that they would do the brake fluid issue at that time. I got the title in the mail and they still refuse to respond to calls or emails. I now need to go to 3 different state departments to deal with sales tax, registration, and title rather than the dealership which goes to those departments every single day and does not need to wait in line. I also need to pay to have the brake fluid issue looked at which is fine as that is also my fault for trusting a car salesman to keep his word. EDIT TO ADD: Just tried to get the car inspected in MA and it doesnt pass. One tire will not pass and a second is very close. Again apparently it needs to be able to pass inspection in my state to legally sell but they are trying to say that their own service dept says it passed for NH. And so they are offering to sell me tires. Which I still need to drive more than an hour to do that plus pay for the tires I should have already had. TL:DR Do NOT buy from this dealer. My experience wasn't dreadful, but "not dreadful" isn't really what I'm looking for in buying a 100K car. I made an appointment to test drive a car, but when I arrived there was no one at the front desk, and the person I made the appointment with was nowhere to be found. This was about 9:45 am, there were no other customers in evidence, and none of the several employees acknowledged me; I had to ask for help. The general vibe was benign neglect. Eventually the salesman appeared, and we went for a test drive. It was fine, although I think I knew more about the vehicle than he did. We very quickly made a deal--I wasn't a tire kicker. Since I live an hour away, I asked about delivery, which is or was prominently featured on the website, and I was assured that that would be possible. It wasn't possible, after the check cleared. A week later, I still didn't have my car. And when I came to collect my car, the salesman, who let me know that it was a real hassle for him to come in that day, was nowhere to be found. Again. The good news is that the car was ready, and the F & I person I dealt with, Phil Bova, was a total professional. Knew what he was doing, and did what he said he was going to do. Maybe I just encountered the wrong salesman on an off day. But still...I've been dealing with MB/BMW/Porsche dealers for 20+ years. Not good enough guys, not good enough. More

Yet they took my check, cashed it and say they sent a check for my payoff to the wrong bank! Can't figure out how to get "corporate" to resolve it. Horrible customer service! More
