Our experience is what gives car salesmen and car dealerships a bad name. We went in planning to purchase a vehicle we knew we wanted, expecting to negotiate some, but expected a pretty straightforw dealerships a bad name. We went in planning to purchase a vehicle we knew we wanted, expecting to negotiate some, but expected a pretty straightforward transaction involving no financing. We were then told we could obtain a lower price if we financed. We were then lied to for the next six hours about financing terms and prepayment penalties; in fact, I was never shown the final financing terms after repeatedly asking for them. We were taken into Jerrold's office to sign the purchase agreement and financing terms without ever agreeing to financing or knowing what I was signing. We then stopped the transaction, which we didn't know was happening, and asked to speak to Randy. Randy informed us that the financing terms would, afterall, have a four to six month prepayment penalty. So, after six hours of wasted time, we purchased the car without financing, exactly as we had planned six hours previously. After all was said and done, the one comp they gave us (a cargo floor mat) was first "left off" the final paperwork, which we pointed out and they reluctantly corrected, and Spencer assured us they were ordering it as we walked out. A week later, after I asked about the cargo mat, Spencer then pushed back and didn't know what I was referring to, stating in text, "I just want to make sure we agreed to ordering the cargo mats with the discounted price you got." That is an outright lie and an attempt to get around the promises he made. This is just one example of hundreds of this dealership's shifty behavior. My advice to others is to use this dealership with caution. More
