I have 2024 model GLE 450 and the car is good from a engine and drivability standpoint but the rattling noise from the driver door glass is frustrating, I brought this to the service team's notice and w engine and drivability standpoint but the rattling noise from the driver door glass is frustrating, I brought this to the service team's notice and was told that it was due to some chemicals while doing deep clean so the seals and edge guards need to be replaced (no warranty covered though the car is 2024 model). I was quoted $3200 but had to negotiate with Mercedes Benz to get it reduced to $1900 After the seals and door edge guards were replaced, the same rattling noise came back after a few days (this time there was no car wash with detailing done). When I took it to the dealer, they cleaned it and gave it back, everytime I take it, the same happens (they clean the door seals and give it back) the drive is good for 2 or 3 days but the rattling comes back again. There is no permanent solution to this and there was no reason to charge me for the edge guards / door seals in the first place. The technicians either don't know what needs to be fixed / cannot fix it because they don't have a solution Stay away from this car and the dealership More
