My experience having my vehicles serviced at Mercedes Benz of Boerne, has turned into a repeat of the shop not being able to ‘replicate’ the problem, & getting the cars back w/other more worrisome proble Benz of Boerne, has turned into a repeat of the shop not being able to ‘replicate’ the problem, & getting the cars back w/other more worrisome problems. For example: when my sedan (E-350) was in for service last, the directory of the nav system (all the addresses I had recorded in it) were wiped out, as were the telephone numbers on the Bluetooth. They were not able to restore it, leaving me w/no data, which I had dutifully recorded throughout the years, and of course, the issue for why it went into the shop ‘could not be replicated,’ ergo was not fixed. My latest negative experience was w/my SL. It went in because my HUM device, my life saver, detected problems w/the engine, which later resulted in the check engine light being on. Of course, true to form, they could not ‘replicate’ the problem, but at my insistence, they checked further, & found some malfunction that necessitated the replacement of the part. When I got the car back, not only all my carefully set seat controls were out of wack, the ‘seat massager’ was on, the a/c was set at 50 degrees, but now the HUM device is reporting low battery voltage, although it states that the battery is new & in great condition. I have tried to contact my service advisor w/out success. I’m truly hesitant to have it in for service again, because I’m worried that something else will go wrong while at the shop. My service advisor continues to be ‘nice’ and accommodating in getting the vehicle in for service expeditiously, but I think that he is overworked & does not have the time to deal w/everything that comes thru his desk. Allan, the member of the Butler team, is very accommodating and helpful, & I’m grateful for the service he provides. More
