Second time I visit this dealership from Del Rio Texas ,first time in 2023 and Today for an oil change, Yesterday after finally Retiring took a Trip to watch the Rangers game in Arlington Texas and my wif ,first time in 2023 and Today for an oil change, Yesterday after finally Retiring took a Trip to watch the Rangers game in Arlington Texas and my wife and I decided to make an appointment so today on our way back we could do an oil change Regardless of only putting 3,300 miles in the Vehicle since 2023…the price it showed on website was 170 something with a discount. today a service advisor by name of Ivan Moran asked me what I needed and I Told him we had an appointment for oil change on my Sprinter that I had been there before but didn’t remember how long ago,asked him how often you have to do it, he said every 20,000 miles…. So I said it may not need oil change !! He explained to me that regardless of mileage even do it had only 3,300 miles since last oil change it was necessary to change because oil set there for two Years, I said i never heard Synthetic or any oil looses viscosity by sitting there but lets change it, then he proceeded to pressure me to do a Service for 729.00 dlls …. After checking my finances with my wife I told him just do oil change please,after an hour aprox I received a video inspection in which a Machanic by the Name of Michael explained very clearly and nicely that a bird had tried to make a nest by the air filter and that needed to be replaced, but I had replaced it along with Fuel filter my self in 2023 after they replaced oil…. so I knew it could be cleaned … so I get to IVANS office and get an estimate for 329.00 and he said I can do it for 300 to replace filter and build a metal cover so birds won’t get in true air suction pipe….. i said you know what I can only do the oil change I only have money for that. He elevated his Voice almost screaming ok ok will just leave everything the way it WAS …..I said what do you mean? He responded yes will leave the nest and filter the way it was ……. What he didn’t know is that Michael the Mechanic that I had seen in the hall down by waiting area had already explained very nicely to me what it needed to be done and I said know that I have all the time off in the world I can build the mash and change filter…. I just to owned a business , so I know how important is Customer Service and Customer care believe me and I know that there customers that are not very nice …….I just didn’t appreciated the way I was treated by IVAN MORAN …. In the future I will probably look for a different dealership thank you for the oil change but tomorrow I will check the air filter my self and make shure that there nothing in there. 🙏 More
