I found the car I wanted to see online and went in to text drive. We were met by Arzoo, the Sales Rep. as we drove in. No high pressure sales tactics - very pleasant. We did have a considerable wait for the finance clerk, (almost 2 hours), but it was Sunday, so only one working. I had to return to the dealership a couple of days later to pay for a Plate Transfer fee to DMV that was missed at the signing. My previous vehicle had been totalled but I wanted to keep my Veterans plates. All my documents appeared to include all the information they would have needed and I had sent the requested photo of the plates to the sales rep as we waited for finance. Finance didn't receive the photo before writing up paperwork for DMV, but they didn't opt to fix it then and there. Then almost a week later I get a call from the finance clerk and the DMV Title Clerk, and they tell me that they can't authorize a plate transfer because the Veterans plates are connected to my husband and we didn't put him on the title of the car, so we have to add him to the documents. Sexist, much? The plates are NOT connected to my husband because he is NOT the veteran -I am! Women can be Veterans, too, and even women of a certain age. I think the staff in these two departments need to undergo some training. More
