Terrible experience! First off Tyler Gwinn needs to be trained on how to deal with customers in an honest manner. He tried to convince me I owed for my service and cable which would of come to a tune of $498.00. He insisted the warranty would not cover the cable and I owed for oil change. I told him we took out an extended warranty and the original was still good. Only a little over 25,000 miles and have only had the vehicle 2 years plus 4 months. We bought it new! So you all do the math. After calling someone (which I think was a fake call) he then said ok your covered. I thought to myself I TRUSTED Ford to be honest that's why we have bought cars there through the years. I wonder how many others almost got scammed and might have paid this. I am so disappointed in the staff there for not backing me up on this. We paid ALOT for this warranty and because of someone's stupidity we almost got taken. I called Cris at customer service, she said his boss would get ahold of me. She was nice but I have not heard back from anyone in about a month. Wish I had a positive review to send, but the truth must be told. Please, ask about your service and make sure their records are right. They are masters at twisting words to make it look like the customer is wrong. More
Leak free Sunroof I purchased a Flex from their east side rivals, and took it in twice to get the sunroof leak repaired. He had been leaking since we bought it. Each time they said it was fixed, and once even said they had replaced the seal. I was tired of taking showers every time I went to the car wash. So we called Scotty, and with only a one word description (sunroof....husbands are so verbose). The tech had found the tear and repaired it. I am so happy to say I haven't got a shower since! This is just one of the many reasons why we will always stay loyal customers. Mel Hambelton has the best service and sales staff. More

My Chevrolet needed AC repair and I knew it would need a new system. I called the week of 18-22 July 16 and got an appointment for the service on 25 July 16. When I told the young lady that I would need a ride back home (I live in Derby), she wanted to know if I bought my car there, I told her no, then she said that they could not provide a ride for me because it was outside of Wichita. Needless to say, I cancelled the appt and will never go back. Plus, I will never consider buying a car there now. There are plenty of service centers who do want my business. My AC replacement also led to a fan clutch replacement and the customer service was excellent ! More
They ruined my head light unit replacing the bulb. I took my Ford Focus in to have a head light bulb replaced. They ruined the the head light unit while replacing the bulb and charged me 70.00 to do it I took my Ford Focus in to have a head light bulb replaced. They ruined the the head light unit while replacing the bulb and charged me 70.00 to do it. When the other head light bulb needed replacing I took it to a local mechanic and he replaced the bulb in about two minutes without having to remove the whole unit and so no damage was done to the unit. And oh, it cost 14.95. Needless to say that the next time that I need any work done on my cars it won't be at Mel Hamblin. Also, I will never buy another car from them either. More
Inept mechanic I had a very bad experience with the service shop at Mel Hambelton Ford, in Wichita KS. I told them I wanted something fixed, in addition to the other work they performed. They failed to fix it. When I discovered the problem, I fixed it myself in about 5 minutes! Totally inexcusable on their part. I wouldn't let them touch my car in the future. I would also like to point out that any reviews left on their website, that are bad reviews, will NOT be posted. Hence all the 5 star ratings. How convenient on their part. Good reviews OR ELSE. I might point out that they overcharged the hell out of me for what they did do. Ford-Certified-Pre-Owned I purchased a Ford-Certified-Pre-Owned vehicle. After undergoing, a rigorous 172 point inspection, one week after purchase, I noticed some vibrating I purchased a Ford-Certified-Pre-Owned vehicle. After undergoing, a rigorous 172 point inspection, one week after purchase, I noticed some vibrating in the steering wheel when brakes are applied at high speeds. After further inspection, all four brake rotors were warped. Unfortunately, after spending several wasted hours and gas. I am very concerned How And Why this vehicle was advertised and passed such rigorous inspection, considering the previous owner documented this safety defect, a week prior to entering mhford’s inventory. Although, brake rotors are not covered under the extended warranty program, the service team repaired the issue, resurfacing the brake rotors without any hesitation. More
