Began looking for a new Jeep Patriot and went to a few locations, and Meador was by far the best place that i visited. They listened to what I was looking for and found it. I went out in search of a new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4 door. Meador was the 4th dealer I stopped at....that was my first mistake. I wasted my time at the other dealers. I walked in LATE on a week night and I was greeted by Nick. I explained what I was looking for and he stated that he did not have exactly what I was looking for on the lot but was willing to search other dealers to try to find a match to get brought to Meador. I had mentioned that I had not driven a 4 door RUBICON model and he quickly offered up one on the lot for us to take for a drive. The dealer was closing when we left the lot,he never rushed me and even allowed me to take it in the field behind the dealer to see how it felt off pavement. When we got back to the dealer we went into his office to search other dealer inventories to find the exact Jeep I was looking for. Guess what..none to be found,so I decided to order one directly and just have it built. We agreed on the numbers and placed the order,built to my exact specifications. Nick informed me it would take 6 to 8 weeks.....the Jeep showed in 5!!! Nick kept me informed of the status of the build and let me know the second it came in. I had a great experience with Meador and would definitly tell people to head here to buy a new chrysler. Thanks!!! More

During the week that my jeep spent at Meador there were a number of breakdowns in normal and customary business practices that are routinely provided by dealerships. First off, during the entire time my jeep was there I experienced extremely poor communication with the service department. I dropped my jeep off after hours on Thursday January 17th. I received a call about 9am the following morning to discuss all that I had brought the jeep in for. During that initial call I was told everything would be taken care of. I hung up feeling very good about my choice of using Meador Jeep. After lunch I realized I hadn't heard anything about the status of the jeep, so I called into Jason and ended up leaving a voicemail for him to please call me back with a status update. Having not heard anything, I called in again around 5 (because I knew the shop closed at 6) and this time I reached Jason. I was told that the jeep had not even been looked at!! This was not mentioned as a possibility when we talked earlier that morning. Saturday around lunch I got a call from Jason saying they knew what was wrong but that parts wouldn't be available till Tuesday (which is amazing because these parts are available at about 7 different part stores within a 15 min drive radius of the dealership). Fastforward to Tuesday when the parts were supposed to arrive and I didn't hear anything from Jason so I called late that afternoon to check on progress. There was no answer, so I left a message. I didn't get a call back on Tuesday. By Wednesday afternoon I still had not heard anything from Jason, so once again I called up there and having reach him, I finally got an update that something had gone wrong on the initial install and they were waiting on replacement parts for the original replacement parts which should be there later that day. On Thursday morning I got the call that the jeep was ready to be picked up. Due to my work schedule, I paid the $1600 bill over the phone and scheduled an after hours pick up. Upon arriving to pick up my jeep, I signed the receipt and got my keys from the sales manager. I then went to my jeep and found that it had NOT been washed and there was TRASH inside it! So before I could go home I had clean out all of the tags and paper liners from my jeep. Why I had to constantly call to get status updates just confuses me! Why the last person to drive it before turning in the keys couldn't clean it out I'll never understand. Why it wasn't washed (which is a common practice at EVERY other dealership I've ever used) just baffles me. Overall, this is in no way the type of treatment I have come to expect from dealerships. And dealership's commitment to top level service is the main reason why I'm willing to pay a little bit more to take my vehicles there. After all, there are hundreds of shops in Tarrant county that could have replaced my rear main seal, oil pan gasket, transmission pan gasket, and transmission cooling lines and charged me a lot less than $1600. At these shops I would have expected the need to constantly call to check status. And I would expect to pick up a dirty car since most of these organizations don't have detailing staff on their payroll. More
