The interaction that I had with Daniel today was anything short of unprofessional as well as blatant discrimination. Two people came in today to look at the same vehicle, one white and the other black. I am short of unprofessional as well as blatant discrimination. Two people came in today to look at the same vehicle, one white and the other black. I am the black individual, I have Top Tier credit as well as funds in several accounts to make a deposit on a vehicle. I talked to the sales rep earlier that day and we went forth in conversing about the deal. White couple comes in behind me and looks at car and test drove the car after me. White coupe pulls in the parking lot and comes in, while me and Daniel at this time is wrapping up a deal. Daniel states that he would be back with some numbers so that we can move forward. Daniel comes back in no less than 3 minutes to tell me that white couple is getting the vehicle because of my "situation". I ask Daniel what is my situation with having good credit as well as money down if need be. He proceeded to tell me how the back and forth, I stop him and ask him what does he mean back and forth? We were having a conversation about numbers. I then told him that he did not even run my credit or come back and say this is the best that I can do, you just immediately gave the car to them with out even consulting or communicating with me on next steps. He tried to deflect and come up with SEVERAL EXCUSES as to why he gave the car to the white couple, however their were none to justify this blatant form of racial discrimination. It couldn't be my credit- nor my funds, I was there before them, already establish a rapport with the service rep, however when it comes down to it, its black and white. The other manager could only apologize over and over again for this happening. I need answerers from the General Manager on this ASAP. Unprofessional, unacceptable, and most of all discriminatory to the fullest against African Americans! More
We didnt stop in at Mcloughlin Chevrolet to buy a vehicle, but....then we met Adam, who was very personable, knowlegable and the polar opposite of the sterotypical "pushy" sales guy. The inventory was impressive and the proffessionalism by the entire staff, (Dave, Dan, Dylan) was unmatched by all other dealerships we've seen. We were treated very well with our trade in as well. I came in for an oil change, had a 60k service done, and three days later the check engine light comes on an "Propulsion Power is Reduced" message is displayed. You lied to me you rep told me rat chewed up the connection so it had to be replace ,it took your mechanic 3 hours to replace. I looked at the connection it was only a 2 wire and the connection was connection so it had to be replace ,it took your mechanic 3 hours to replace. I looked at the connection it was only a 2 wire and the connection was fine it needed 1 wire reconnected and that would have been a whole lot cheaper so yes they lied to me. Liar More
