My lender pointed it out, so I called the sales person. He continued to tell me I was purchasing the vehicle for the price we agreed on. I was so frustrated I hung up. I called back and said I was not doing the deal and he was very nice and said he would takeoff the charge. He only took off one and resubmitted the invoice to the credit union with some add-ons. I had credit union write the check out less the add-ons. When I came and sat down with the sales person he put a referral page in front of me and said we need three names of referrals. I didn’t do it, he came back into the room and said he had to have them. I put two names down with fake phone numbers as I didn’t have the energy to get into it with him. He came back and said The dealership required three. So I wrote another fake one down. We came back the next day to pick up the vehicle and the fuel light was on. I asked if they fuel up the vehicle and he said no they usually don’t do that. Every time I’ve ever bought a car, the dealership always filled up the tank for me. As my wife started to go to the car kept stopping. Once we got it off an incline we realized it was fuel and luckily we made it a block away to fill it up. It was almost bone dry. If we didn’t drive three hours to pick up this vehicle, we would not have gone through with this deal. More
Recently acquired a 2018 Bolt from my cousin and dealing with the battery recall issue. recently took the car into to McLoughlin for the latest recall computer upgrade, and was pleased to find that they we with the battery recall issue. recently took the car into to McLoughlin for the latest recall computer upgrade, and was pleased to find that they were routinely replacing batteries in recalled 2017 &2019 Bolts and when my 2018 was announced they clearly would have the established experience to do a good job. That coupled with no problems with the computer upgrade was reassuring to me for the much bigger step of Bolt battery replacement. More
After waiting 2wks for a diagnostic appointment and dropping the vehicle off at 8am they didn't have time to fully diagnose. The manager of the facility called me a "young lady", a term that is infantilizing and sexist. After confronting him about this, he continued to call me "young lady". Another member assumed I was a care gi term that is infantilizing and sexist. After confronting him about this, he continued to call me "young lady". Another member assumed I was a care giver, several of the staff members clearly need training on implicit bias. Several people were faceshields instead of masks and removed their masks when taking. The car salesman who helped me, Mica, was very nice and soft spoken, without being pushy and was able to help get the car into my price range. Overall, some staff members are helpful while others give off the stereotypical sleazy car dealership vibe. More
