Buying a car is scary, but not at McLaughlin I had never driven a Subaru and didn't know if I was even ready to purchase a car. I was able meet with Kim and she had it all ready for me to drive when I arrived. Even though she was dealing with two clients at once, I didn't feel neglected. Needless to say, I loved the car and it really sold itself! The whole process of the deal was really nice. I didn't feel pressured to buy and agree on a deal I wasn't comfortable with, the finance department was also great. My car was delivered a week later and I am in love with it! I drove it home in a snow storm...and it was FANTASTIC!!! More

Just another used car dealership I picked out a 2011 Subaru Legacy from online ads and drove from Iowa City to Moline to get it in Jan 2017. For the most part, the purchase was painle I picked out a 2011 Subaru Legacy from online ads and drove from Iowa City to Moline to get it in Jan 2017. For the most part, the purchase was painless. Two things though really got to me. First, when they transferred my license plates from my trade in, they didn't attached the front license plate. The car I got didn't have a front license plate bracket. "Here is your extra license plate." As far as I know, Iowa and Illinois both require a front license plate. After two months of waiting for the dealer to send me a front license plate bracket, I gave up and just ordered one from online for $25; cheaper than the inevitable ticket. The second thing that really irritated me is that they never reminded me to get my new car added to my auto insurance. Along with transferring the title and the plates, I assumed that the dealer took car of it. Last time I bought a car, the dealership made sure to go through all those obvious checklist items. I drove around for about a week uninsured before figuring it out. All in all, while I can't really recommend McLaughlin Subaru to others, I wouldn't tell people to stay away either. I went there to get a particular car, not because of the dealership. More

Another good buying experience This is our 5th Subaru purchase (Forester, 2 Outbacks and 2 Legacy's). My husband convinced me to purchase the 2018 Legacy with the latest safety fea This is our 5th Subaru purchase (Forester, 2 Outbacks and 2 Legacy's). My husband convinced me to purchase the 2018 Legacy with the latest safety features. I loved the 2015 and didn't think it was possible to like this one better, but I do. The suspension system is different so it rides even better and the cabin is quieter. We have returned due to the quality of the vehicles, quality of the service and employees. Our go-to salesman, Brian Cox, is easy and comfortable to talk with, provides a very complete introduction to the vehicle of our interest with no pressure. Everyone we have been in contact with at McLaughlin has been helpful and efficient. Robert Coronado processed the paperwork very quickly and is also a pleasure to deal with. I like the Reading Room vs the waiting room with the television and consider that a real plus when I go for service. More

Not only is Matt extremely knowledgeable about the products he is selling, he listened to what our needs were as well as what our concerns were with high regard for us as customers. We felt valued and will be recommending Matt and McLaughlins with much enthusiasm! More
