It is a really different time at the present. Just a few years ago car dealerships were full of vehicles and choices were vast. I started looking for a specific truck about one month ago. Frankly the attitude of their staffs were simply indifferent. I encountered dealers gouging prices in excess over MSRP and outright refusing to entertain selling me a vehicle because I was located too far from their dealership. I reached out to McKinney GMC because I located a truck on line that they listed. I was skeptical based on my experiences over the past several weeks. I expected to hear they no longer had the vehicle, they had no interest in negotiating $1,000’s over MSRP or something that would deter my pursuit. To my surprise this did not occur. When I called Tiwone “Tee” Henderson took my call. He confirmed the vehicle in stock quickly. I live over 200 miles from McKinney GMC. Tiwone could have easily opted to treat me like every other dealer in the State of Texas had but he didn’t. He treated me like a serious buyer like I was sitting in front of his desk. We negotiated a favorable price quickly. I worked with him and their sales manager Rod Johnson. Both were perfect! Respectful and efficient. I never once felt uneasy about the process. Honest and forthright was my experience. Once the buy order was sent to me I dealt with their Finance Manager, Travis Trenkle. He dealt with my banker and together they ironed out the details. It all took about a week but it this was mainly due to my bank. During this week, McKinney GMC could have easily sold my truck out from under me. Trust me it happens. I’ve personally had the experience. My wife and I arrived at McKinney GMC on Monday afternoon around 1:30pm. We drove off with out 2022 GMC 2500HD by 4:00pm. It was well worth the 200 mile commute. We are loyal GM product customers. This is our fifth consecutive GM purchase. I commend Tiwone, Rod and Travis for a job well done. If you are interested in a vehicle I recommend this team and dealership. More
