I feel like I should have gotten a lot more for my trade in and I even brought it up to Bobby and he said I was getting the best price. I looked it up and I could have gotten 3000 to 5000 more. I feel like I was misled on that

We have a Hummer EV that was left outside overnight in the rain. The car had standing water in the charger area and cup holders. As I drove it I got a shower by water coming in through the tee top. My husband is usually the one serving the car, but he was out of town at the time , so I called the dealership. I knew we had this same issue already and it’s been serviced for it. Since we had no other cars available to drive, I asked if I can have a loner car. Brandi tells me, that they need to diagnose for 48 hours before getting a loner. I asked, why, since it’s been serviced for the same issue and it still leaks, to that her answer was that it wasn’t serviced at your dealership. As I’m unfamiliar with which dealership this particular service was done, I call Ewing. They immediately give me an appointment and schedule a loner car, as they say the Hummer Ev automatically gets a loner. I show up at the appointment, they pull up the service history and it shows that the T top had a recall because of the leak and it was serviced in McKinney, so they apologize, but this particular service needs to be completed in McKinney. They also tell me that this car should automatically get a loner car and that it does not need diagnostics, as this is the exact reason why there was a recall. As I call back, I talk to Brandi again who questioned me if they ran diagnostics on the car at Ewing, because they can’t know for sure what’s the reason for leaking. The car leaks. Period. GMC knows it’s a problem, so they had a recall. If I’m supposed to get a loner with this particular car, why does it matter what the diagnostics are? I was open to schedule for any time when they have a car to give me, it wasn’t a rush, but the answer was the same.

Regarding the credit card usage fee, we understand that this can be frustrating. Unfortunately, credit card companies charge businesses a processing fee for each transaction, which is why we have to pass this cost on to our customers. However, we will certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to evaluate our pricing and policies.

I am a retired Dallas Banker with a career that spanned 45 years so I am better versed than most in credit card usage and the processing fees. The 3 to 4 percent merchant transaction fee went away many, many years ago. In that era there were only two credit card processors and they dictated the terms to the merchants. Those days are gone and today it is one of the most competitive areas in banking. I can promise you Berkshire Hathaway based on their mega size and credit card production aren't paying thier processor more the 0.50% if that much. Plus credit card sales are all electronic requiring no employee expense in handling plus they get immediate credit on those funds just as if it were deposited cash. I don't care what your corporate tells your excellent dealership. It is nothing more than a price jab on your customers, plain and simple.
