We called ahead to agree on a price for a car we were looking at. We insisted that our price was definitive and there was no point for us driving 2hours the price we agreed on on the phone because we wou looking at. Mr. Lawrence Finley understood my needs as a senior citizen, and that I truly wanted a Volvo to have simplicity in style, gas economy, and priced right. I was shown several used XC40's and XC60's. After a couple of days to consider the size of the car, I took it on a test drive and he explained the essential features for driving the car. He was patient and confident that I could drive on the surface roads without going on the freeway. I decided to buy the XC40 and he prepared the paperwork. I also mentioned that I did not intend to drive to Washington State where I live since I was purchasing the car in California. I wanted to transport the car by a carrier. He said I would need to do this on my own. However, he checked with his manager and was he given the OK to engage a transporter and to include the cost to the sale of the car. I was very relieved that he provided this extra special service. Indeed, he did care that I wasn't feeling anxious about making transport arrangements. Buying a car is a big decision and a stressful one for any buyer but he made me feel comfortable. This is my third Volvo and I expect it to last for many years. More
First of all, I do not think 5 Stars are possible any more than actually being 100% certain of anything. I have had the opportunity to get acquainted with a lot of dealerships and with the business over more than actually being 100% certain of anything. I have had the opportunity to get acquainted with a lot of dealerships and with the business over the past several months and these guys are not bad. I see a lot of 1-star reviews and I will not call any of those experiences into question. If I went on my initial experience alone, maybe I would have written something similar. One guy is too friendly and overstepped a lot. He was way to eager to tell me what I wanted to hear. At the same time, he did facilitate the idea of flexibility into an otherwise stringent "one price" model. The GM seemed experienced in that role and authoritative. I spoke with him for a few minutes. He admitted he was pretty new to Volvos and that I likely knew more about them than he did. He cut to the chase and gave me a good number. I won't say the other people with whom I worked were "friendly" or "nice", but I am not sure that was their job and I wasn't there looking for a hug (though I kind of felt like that first guy would have given me one at any point I asked). However, they dealt with me, they listened to me, and they did what they said they would do (not necessarily everything the first guy said he would do, but I ended up dealing directly with the financing or preowned manager. I walked away from the deal at first, spent several weeks getting to know some other dealers and realized that these guys were actually pretty good. I got back in touch with them, asked if the deal was still available, and was told that it was, but ... the car may not be.. Since I already used a lot of their time, I suppose I might not have wanted to deal with me. I don't know at this point whether the car will be available or if I'll still need one when and if it is, but overall I would recommend them. March18 - Placed an order and a $1000 deposit for a Volvo XC90 recharge. I was told that the vehicle will be delivered latest by June 2022 2. Called them in May, and they told me that the order was cancelled. These guys didn't have the courtesy to tell me until a few weeks of my delivery. 3. 1 week later, I booked a vehicle thru a different dealer and asked these guys to return by deposit on May 14, 2022 For the past one month, I've been calling them every week, and they keep telling me the same BS - that the check will be mailed in a few days. Extremely frustrating. DO NOT work with this dealer if you care about a pleasant car buying experience. More
I had to pick up a former fleet vehicle that I purchased cash from my employee purchase program. I felt I was hassled by Eric Flores, the manager, because I am a minority female. Eric kept telling me that he could not release the vehicle because payment had not been received by an entity that did not manage our employee fleet program. I had all necessarily documentation on hand which the and his staff printed, including documentation that showed I paid CASH for the vehicle. Thank you Eric for racially profiling and assuming a minority female as myself could not afford the Volvo XC60 that I paid cash for. I appreciate the customer service and will certainly recommend and return back to your dealership. More
