If Yelp allowed me to give this dealership no stars, then I would have given it O. McKevitt is BY FAR the worst dealership that I've ever dealt with. It really seems like they don't even want to sell cars. I I would have given it O. McKevitt is BY FAR the worst dealership that I've ever dealt with. It really seems like they don't even want to sell cars. I ordered a Volvo XC40 Recharge directly from the factory in Ghent because the dealership told me that there wouldn't be any available, unless you reserved one online (which ended up not being true). I chose McKevitt for delivery because it's the closest Volvo dealership to my house. I was initially assigned a sales rep named Jay, who was entirely unresponsive when I requested updates or information about the vehicle. Jay ended up leaving McKevitt for whatever reason, so I was assigned a new associate who ended up being equally unresponsive (I'll leave out his name, since this is his livelihood). However, I was still trying to contact Jay because the dealership never notified me that he left and that I was reassigned to a different salesman. I needed to sell a vehicle and was trying to plan for delivery, so I was asking for updates throughout this process. Half the time, he never responded to my calls, etc. The vehicle ended up being placed on hold at the port for a software update, again I was never notified. I read about it in an article and contacted them. They gave me a hard delivery date, then didn't receive a call the week that the delivery was supposed to happen. I again reached-out them to inquire about the vehicle and was told that the vehicle was being held indefinitely Long story short, I needed a vehicle to drive, so I canceled the order and bought the same vehicle from the lot at Volvo in Palo Alto. They were responsive, efficient, and had excellent customer service. Had McKevitt offered me any kind of compensation for my trouble, I may have kept the order. I learned later that Volvo was offering a "Premium Customer Experience Program," a goodwill gesture for the vehicles being held in port and for other issues. However, this dealership never offered this to me. I've now been waiting a month for the dealership to refund my deposit, which is 100% refundable per the contract. I've called and left two messages with their finance department and they haven't even bothered to call me back. I'll get the money back one way or another, but it was just the icing on the cake. I normally don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to in this situation. If you're looking for a Volvo, I suggest you take your business elsewhere. More
This dealership has no integrity at all. I was interested in a pre-owned Subaru Outback that McKevitt Volvo had for sale. After some back and forth via text with Akmal Khakimov, one of their salespeople, we in a pre-owned Subaru Outback that McKevitt Volvo had for sale. After some back and forth via text with Akmal Khakimov, one of their salespeople, we agreed on a price. I asked them to send me the paperwork for the deal and asked how to arrange a deposit. Akmal said he would be in the next day and would send it over. The next day I did not hear from Akmal, so I reached out to him. He then told me they sold the car despite the fact that we had agreed to the deal and I had offered to put a deposit down. They completely wasted my time and lost a customer just to make a few bucks. When our Volvo broke almost immediately after purchase, the dealership ignored us and tried to make excuses why they won't serve us. We thought we bought a car in the luxury echelon, but got a service of a rickshaw seller. After all the stress of car research and committing to an high price, we were treated like garbage by the dealer. Our seller was Phil Koegler, an extremely unprofessional person. We contacted Volvo directly and were set up with high-end service at a different dealership. DO NOT BUY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!! Please please read the most recent reviews, they are all one star and everyone got scammed! More
**NEVER** BUY A CAR FROM McKevitt Volvo We are three-time top-tier credit Volvo Owners. **THIS IS THE WORST VOLVO DEALER WE HAVE EVER DEALTH WITH.** Handed this dealership an XC90 sale on a We are three-time top-tier credit Volvo Owners. **THIS IS THE WORST VOLVO DEALER WE HAVE EVER DEALTH WITH.** Handed this dealership an XC90 sale on a silver platter by bringing our own financing--and they couldn't close the terms immediately. Slightly complicated sale, but would've been easily handled by dealership staff who know how to close and are customer-oriented. Got shuffled around between Steven D., Kurt R., Steve C., Scott T, the Finance Officer (Can't remember her name) and Evette Watt in the DMV/Title Office. BAD EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: Multiple Visits, too much time spent, not empowered to handle our terms, incomplete paperwork. Evette HAS ZERO TACT in dealing with Customers. Steve C. the Manager was nice and supportive, Steven and Kurt processed our sale, but it's almost like the staff can't coordinate amongst each other, is inefficient at processing paperwork for a "same as cash" sale, and requires multiple visits to the dealership. GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND YOURSELF--McKevitt Volvo is not truly customer-oriented and WILL NOT TREAT YOU RIGHT. More
This dealership is awesome and really professional. Cars are very well checked, served and deep cleaned. Made a conclusion after purchasing, only buy used cars in the dealership with the same brand since th are very well checked, served and deep cleaned. Not to mention the sales manager Jim H., who made me buy the car I love in the first visit. Awesome personnel!!! More
Prospective McKevitt Fiat or Volvo Buyers: Steer Clear! Rude, demeaning sales rep, poorly run Dealership...If you do Don't Get Kristean... Long story short, today's escapade at McKevitt was nothing shor Rude, demeaning sales rep, poorly run Dealership...If you do Don't Get Kristean... Long story short, today's escapade at McKevitt was nothing short of a disaster. It all started when the Sales manager, Kristean yelled at me, for no reason at all, claiming I made up my annual income and was out to scam the dealership. Kristean continued to yell at me and ordered me to leave their lot. He then went as far as saying he would call the police if I didn't leave... I was completely taken back by Kristean; especially since this was supposed to be the most exciting purchase of my life (buying a car that I had saved years to pay with cash...) His claims were neurotic and completely untrue. He ordered to see proof of funds; which I showed and he still didn't believe me. At the end of the whole exchange, I would go as far as say, I felt verbally abused and was completely demeaned. I hope the Owner of McKevitt sees this and follows up with me because at this point an apology is in order. For those of you looking for quality cars I would go to Fletcher Johnson or the Fremont Auto Mall, it will save you the time and their customer service ultimately earned my business. The best part was I called Kristean; back to share my frustrations and he wouldn't even apologize. The General Manager David Adragna, did apologize but still doesn't change what will go down as the worst experience at a car dealership. More
