The McGrath Automotive Group was founded in 1964. Leo McGrath purchased McBride Buick in Elgin, Illinois after working with Buick Motor Division as a District Sales and Service Manager. His son, Gary McGrath, began working for him at a young age experiencing every aspect of the automotive business. In 1971 Gary purchased the Buick Franchise from Leo and a few years later opened his first Honda dealership next door. Honda in St Charles was later added to better serve the west suburbs. We continue to pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect and honesty.

The McGrath Service Department is excellent. Our Service Advisor, Esteban, did an great job and was very professional. Always providing follow-up when promised. A known defective piston ring issue with 2013 Odysseys was the problem. When Esteban saw the high expense of the repair he immediately involved his manager and eventually, American Honda. American Honda thankfully agreed to cover part of the costs of repair, of which I am grateful. But due to the fact this is a known issue, the rings being defective, this is not a repair one would expect from a Honda product. Replacing piston rings at 75,000 miles, does not befit the high level of quality I have come to expect with this being my fifth Honda vehicle. I am very disappointed and my confidence is shaken with Honda. I have nothing but the highest regard for McGrath. More

Jose B in sales was great. He went above and beyond helping me get a good deal and explaining all of the cars features. Finance Dept did not give me their best deal considering my credit score. It almo helping me get a good deal and explaining all of the cars features. Finance Dept did not give me their best deal considering my credit score. It almost made me leave and buy my car elsewhere. I also felt like the warranty offer was a sham. He made it sound like the car was going to breakdown if I didn’t get one. Not a good strategy for selling cars by telling me there will be problems with it causing me to need a third party extended warranty. Not to mention the vast difference in the initial quote and their final quote. My advice is to do your homework before going in there so you don’t get something you don’t need or overcharged for it. More

Attentive and takes time to answer any and all our questions Jocelyn has been our sales person for at least the last 5 years. She's helped us with any of our inquiries and made the buying process of our CRV go Jocelyn has been our sales person for at least the last 5 years. She's helped us with any of our inquiries and made the buying process of our CRV go smoothly. My husband is a seasoned gear head and she always has been able to answer any of his technical questions. She has helped me with setting up my Android Auto App and turning my auto high beam back on when I accidentally turned it off. If I have issues I feel I can always come into the dealership with my question and she is there to help. Highly recommend her for your car-buying needs. More
