The McGrath Automotive Group was founded in 1964. Leo McGrath purchased McBride Buick in Elgin, Illinois after working with Buick Motor Division as a District Sales and Service Manager. His son, Gary McGrath, began working for him at a young age experiencing every aspect of the automotive business. In 1971 Gary purchased the Buick Franchise from Leo and a few years later opened his first Honda dealership next door. Honda in St Charles was later added to better serve the west suburbs. We continue to pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect and honesty.

My experience with McGrath Honda of St. Charles, was the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a new car. After a phone conversation with Akira Shibata, my husband and I decided that Akira was som best experience I have ever had in purchasing a new car. After a phone conversation with Akira Shibata, my husband and I decided that Akira was someone that we would like to meet in person, and complete our new car purchase. After we arrived at McGrath, we were greeted by Akira, and introduced to Jose Barrera. Jose was our sales consultant. Jose was extremely personable, polite, and most importantly professional. His genuine interest in making sure that we were completely satisfied, was thoroughly evident, during the entire transaction. All of our questions were addressed, in addition to him giving us information that we hadn't even considered. The final step in our purchase, was with Sidney Thompson. Sidney made a major financial transaction, as painless and smooth as it could have been. I congratulate MCGRATH HONDA OF ST.CHARLES, on providing us with such a GREAT TEAM, for this major purchase. Finally, I Love my 2020 Honda CRV, Hybrid, touring SUV. I'm looking forward to using and recommending MCGRATH HONDA for many years to come. More

Not very happy. Finding more and more problems with the car I bought. Noticed a big crack in my windshield, someone replaced the tires but did not do the pressure sensorS, saving themselves (the dealership car I bought. Just very disappointed with the whole ordeal. clearly stuff I should’ve checked better but thought buying from a certified Honda dealer, I wouldn’t have these issues. Learned my lesson! funny now as my family shopping for two new cars and it won’t be done there! So much for a repeat business!! More

Terrible pricing, check your service price with other Honda Dealer. I took my Honda Odyssey for door repair, after waiting for 3 hours they informed me they don't have parts and kept my van for 2 days. Honda Dealer. I took my Honda Odyssey for door repair, after waiting for 3 hours they informed me they don't have parts and kept my van for 2 days. I have quoted for same service with another Honda Dealership and it was quoted to me for $480 with taxes and this dealership charged $675. Don't be fooled by their service coupon. Strongly recommend to check your vehicle service price with other Honda Dealer this dealership is very expensive. More

I shopped around at quite a few dealers before discovering McGrath, and I'm glad I found them! Most dealers are shady with fees and make promises over the phone that they can't keep in person. This might be the most transparent dealership I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Not to mention, they offer THE BEST prices around, hands down. This was honestly the easiest and best experience I’ve had buying a car in the past 20+ years. I found the Honda that I wanted online and I reached out the them via email. At the dealer, Akira and Maia had my car and the papers ready with the numbers we had agreed to. Nelly was fast and efficient at financing as well. Signed and left with the car all in 2.5 hours.
