The McGrath Automotive Group was founded in 1964. Leo McGrath purchased McBride Buick in Elgin, Illinois after working with Buick Motor Division as a District Sales and Service Manager. His son, Gary McGrath, began working for him at a young age experiencing every aspect of the automotive business. In 1971 Gary purchased the Buick Franchise from Leo and a few years later opened his first Honda dealership next door. Honda in St Charles was later added to better serve the west suburbs. We continue to pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect and honesty.

Games, gimmicks and can’t give you basic things you ask for. Go to a different dealer, any dealer. They are worried about todays dollar, not the future dollar. We had a great experience here at McGrath! ! We bought a used car for my teen-age son from Jimmy. We came in a few times to test drive and Jimmy was always polite and understanding as we tried ! Ruben welcomed me into the dealership and helped me feel comfortable with the buying experience. I was apprehensive when I came to the dealership due to a prior unpleasant exchange with another dealer. Rube comfortable with the buying experience. Unlike another dealer, he didn't pry about my income and budget information before I test-drove the car. Additionally, he didn't try to raise my budget after I provided full disclosure. Another dealer tried to haggle almost $4K on top of the asking price. He also delivered my car personally clean and ready. The whole process was straightforward and easy. McGrath also covers many routine services either free for life such as car washes or two free oil changes. I look forward to enjoying my car. More
