The McGrath Automotive Group was founded in 1964. Leo McGrath purchased McBride Buick in Elgin, Illinois after working with Buick Motor Division as a District Sales and Service Manager. His son, Gary McGrath, began working for him at a young age experiencing every aspect of the automotive business. In 1971 Gary purchased the Buick Franchise from Leo and a few years later opened his first Honda dealership next door. Honda in St Charles was later added to better serve the west suburbs. We continue to pride ourselves on treating our customers with respect and honesty.

Shane De Leo and Kevin Bombeck worked very diligently to keep our business in the sale of a Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid. After being disappointed by the internet department, Kevin wisely stepped in whe keep our business in the sale of a Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid. After being disappointed by the internet department, Kevin wisely stepped in when he noticed that dissatisfaction. He re-connected us with Shane who did EVERYTHING in his power to turn the situation around. He personally drove to their Elgin location to get the vehicle we wanted and stayed in communication the entire time. He made lemonade out of lemons.
