Excellent Sales and Service I am not one to typically write reviews, but recently, I had such a good car buying experience with McGrath Acura of Westmont that I want to acknowled I am not one to typically write reviews, but recently, I had such a good car buying experience with McGrath Acura of Westmont that I want to acknowledge some of the folks that made this great experience possible. Let me start by saying I was not 100% set on buying an Acura. I was in the market for a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle as I don’t do a lot of driving. The salesman I was fortunate to be dealing with was Wally Samhan. He is the real reason that I ended up buying an Acura MDA from McGrath. As you would expect, he was knowledgeable on the vehicle and was able to answer any questions I had. But it was his communication style and dealings with me, the customer, that made it a great buying experience. He was not the typical “Car Salesman”. He was not pushy. He was impartial in the information provided. He was accommodating to my schedule and needs and he came across as being very trustworthy and honest. Additionally, the sales manager, Nick Kabro was very professional and efficient and made the buying transaction go smoothly. I did buy a CPO vehicle and the day after I took it home, I noticed some issues with the mirrors and alignment. I called Wally and explained my issues and after speaking with his manager he told me bring the vehicle in to get the problems fixed and he was apologetic for the inconvenience. This is where I met with Ryan Pearl in service. Again, another excellent staff member at McGrath. He was again sincere and honest and explained how long it would take to fix etc. He gave me a loaner while the MDX was being fixed. McGrath, as you would expect covered the cost of all repairs. After buying a car and having to get items fixed right away, I could have had a very unpleasant experience, but because of the staff at McGrath from Wally to Ryan, I am a very happy customer and delighted to have purchased my MDX there. If the manager is reading this review, he should appreciate and acknowledge Wally and Ryan! More

Everything went great and I love my new car! I recently bought a TLX from McGrath and am so happy with the entire experience. Tony answered my emails, understood that I was in a bit of a rush and moved my test drive and financing right along. Nick in financing did his part getting me the loan, and working with me on payments. Even though I have an Acura dealership 5 minutes from my house, I chose the Westmont location because of their huge selection. The dealership was definitely worth the 35 minute ride. This is my second Acura I owned and any future purchases I will make, will be right back to McGrath. More

Questionable Inspection My initial experience purchasing a vehicle from McGrath Acura of Westmont was positive. However, only a few months after the purchase, I received not My initial experience purchasing a vehicle from McGrath Acura of Westmont was positive. However, only a few months after the purchase, I received notification they sold us a vehicle involved in the Takata airbag recall, putting our family’s safety in jeopardy. They fixed the airbags as mandated by the recall but then only months later, new tires were “highly recommended” after an oil change. I spoke to a salesperson, Tony. When I questioned him how the tires passed the 182 point inspection, I was told they were on the pass/not pass border of the evaluation and the tire wear was due to our driving habits. I was surprised how much he knew about our driving habits having just met me five minutes prior. I explained we don’t drive aggressively as we usually have our kid and/or dog in the vehicle, neither of us drive it to work, and we didn’t put many miles on it (about 6k). He then told me I should have looked at the 182 point inspection closer as it has the exact tire tread measurement on it. When I got home and checked the 182 point inspection, there was no measurement – they only checked the tires passed. I left three voicemails for the Sales Manager, Mishka, with no return calls. I would just be careful of their sales tactics and closely review their ‘182 point inspection.’ I would also recommend bringing any used vehicle to a local mechanic for a 2nd opinion on their inspection before purchasing. More
