I had the car towed here with flat tire over a weekend in a snow storm. They figured out who’s car it was first thing on Monday and called me before I did. I went in to redeem an oil change that was included when I purchased my vehicle. I did not purchase my vehicle from McGrath Acura however work nearby and elected to have the service performed there. My experiences to this point with McGrath auto group has been frustrating to say the least. From purchasing the vehicle from the Arlington Kia to trying to redeem the first of two oil changes had left me with a poor opinion as to how they operate and their values. Fast forward to scheduling the appointment and the day of service; I attempted to contact Arlington Kia twice to confirm date (once on Friday and again on Monday) and services that were included when I purchased my vehicle and both times I was transferred to the finance manager and received his voicemail which I left a message requesting a call back. After not hearing back on him on Monday, I contacted McGrath Acura of Westmont to schedule an oil change for the upcoming Wednesday. While on the phone I asked if the associate could verify that I had one oil change to be redeemed. She advised me she would have to transfer me to someone else. The lady I was transferred to was very professional and kind, offering to call the company to verify this. After placing me on hold for a few minutes she returned advising me she was still trying to reach the company and offered to call me back. A short while later I received a call from her and scheduled my oil change. Once at the appointment I was waiting for the service to be completed when I was approached by Peggi Terzakis who advised me she was a customer service concierge for McGrath Acura. I spoke to Peggi for about 10 minutes and appreciated how passionate she was for her career. Even though I was there for only an oil change, she seemed genuinely interested in hearing about my poor experiences prior with the other McGrath dealerships. Peggi apologized to me and assured me any future interactions would be better. After the service was complete I went home and received a call from Peggi stating she was going to send a teddy bear for my son to my home and that it would be dropped off the next day. This small gesture blew me away as it made me feel that even though I wasn’t buying a car that my business was appreciated. I have never received this kind of treatment from any dealership and because of that will consider McGrath Acura of Westmont for any future vehicle or service needs. More
