In December 2012 I purchased a used 2006 Land Rover from McGrath Acura in Westmont, IL. The sales and finance contacts were very professional and overall customer service was good. During the test drive of the vehicle I purchased, the "check tire pressure" light came on. This is a common issue with vehicles that have been parked for long periods of time on a dealers lot in cold weather. After the test drive we took the truck to the service area and they put some air in the tires and the warning light went off. About 3 days later, after I had purchased the vehicle, the "check tire pressure" light came on again. I stopped by the dealership and they again put some air in the tires. Roughly two weeks later, the message screen on vehicle read "tire pressure monitor fault". We took the truck to a Land Rover dealer and they replaced a bad tire pressure monitor chip for around $325.00. Since then, from January 2013 to mid March 2013, we have made a series of repairs to this vehicle totaling $2400.00. The tire pressure warning light has come back on many times in addition to numerous "suspension fault" messages that have led to replacing a leaky air suspension strut, a bad suspension compressor, and height level monitor chips. On three occasions the suspension would not lift and the vehicle could not be driven over 30 mph until repairs were made. I realize that buying a used car is a gamble and that this truck was purchased "as is". I also understand that Land Rovers can be expensive to repair since I have owned 3 previous Land Rover vehicles. However, I would expect a dealer like McGrath to make a detailed inspection of any vehicle they put on the McGrath lot to check for pre-existing safety or maintenance issues. It seems coincidental that all these major, interrelated repair issues occurred so soon after we purchased this truck. My advise to anyone buying a used vehicle, even from a dealer like McGrath who has been around for years: take it to a private garage and have it checked before you buy it. Trust no one. More

They both went above and beyond there duties and especially made me feel like family. Nick worked his magic and spoke to lenders (Other Dealers use a Computer and the Computer decides if it should or NOT give you the loan. Hence, a lot of Inquiries on your credit!) to get me a low APR and especially to get me a loan for the vehicle purchased. I had gone to lots of other dealers and have seen them play games. At McGrath Acura you can rest assure you will be in good hands and best of all, feel like family. Thanks again to all that helped make my purchasing a lot easier! More

Absolutely outstanding experience. It's a shame so many dealers and sleezy hi pressure sales people don't follow the McGrath business model. It really makes me wish my friends and family could all get many dealers and sleezy hi pressure sales people don't follow the McGrath business model. It really makes me wish my friends and family could all get Acuras. It starts with the Sales associate(Spiro Kontaris) from feeling welcome, respected as well as appreciated for returning to get my second Acura from the same person because my last time was just as oustanding. Return business speaks for itself when it comes to such a large and statistically stressful purchase. This is not the case at Acura. I knew I'd be leaving feeling I got exactly what I wanted. Spiro sets the bar for salesman and working in sales it is refreshing to run into someone that is not in it to line their own pocket. Wether it was buying my new furniture or cars in the past hi pressure associates are usually referred to as sharks for a reason. Others I'd like to mention or have listed above because even if they were polite enough just to say or ask if I needed anything. A company that has genuinely pleasant people throughout it's halls must mean they happy where they work and how they're treated. To me it says I'm working with a company that knows how to recognize it's people. Allison Owens these last two times I came in for an oil change; exceptional customer service and friendliness. Marcella Sperando even though she is an old friend (and maybe bias, lol) the fact that she cared enough to introduce me to Acura reflects on her pride in the company and faith in the product. Mcgrath Acura of Westmont is a very welcoming dealership. Sam Shaheen is very knowledgeable and offered great advice. I did not feel pressured into buying anything at any point.
