The price was fair and we fell in love with it immediately. All Acura personal was very helpful and professional. The dealership closes at 8:00 pm but they stayed until 9:15 pm until we finalized the deal and drove home in a new car. We suggest one improvement to the dealership practices. We were not ready to buy a car that day as we needed a few days to move money to checking account to be able to pay the full purchase price without financing. Audi dealership offered us to reserve any car, new or used, and buy it a few days later. Acura dealership did not have reservation option for pre-driven cars, so in order not lose the chosen car, we had to go through financing, extra time and hassle that we didn't need. More
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!- PATHETIC REPRESENTATION OF ACURA BRAND. I went in recently to lease a 2022 Acura MDX with Advance package. Because I'm now working primarily remotely we need to eliminate one veh BRAND. I went in recently to lease a 2022 Acura MDX with Advance package. Because I'm now working primarily remotely we need to eliminate one vehicle in our household, so we decided to trade in our 2 vehicles for a new MDX. I went in to trade in my 2020 Pilot and 2021 CR-V. Here's what happened: 1) I got a TrueCar certificate and follow up call from Dan who said they have the vehicle I inquired about in stock and would honor the price in the email that was sent to me. He asked when I can stop in. I said I'm on my way. 2) I arrived at the dealership and was greeted by Sebastian and manager Elson. I have nothing negative to say about Sebastian. He's a typical rookie salesperson who didn't enhance or ruin my experience. Elson was probably the only one I met at the dealership that seemed genuinely interested in delivering a good client experience. But he completely disappeared after greeting me at the door. I WAS ONE OF ONLY 3 CUSTOMERS IN THE SHOWROOM. And I was there for the better part of 2 hours. So hardly any customer traffic on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm when its not uncommon to see dealerships filled with customers. That was the first sign that this dealership isn't doing something right. 3) They told me the vehicle I was interested in had been damaged during transit and the front bumper was scratched and they were working to get it repaired. I didn't think it was a big deal, but on 2nd thought on my drive home I started wondering how the front bumper would get damaged during transit when there's a protective plastic covering on the front bumper of most new vehicles during transit. Be it a Chevy or a Range Rover. If I called up Acura Customer relations to inquire how this could have happened I'd love to hear what they'd have to say. 4) I had them appraise my CR-V which is in excellent condition with about 8,000 miles on it. They took the VIN# for my Pilot so they could give me an approximate appraisal value for it. I let them know my wife would bring my Pilot to the dealership for an actual appraisal once we were close to a deal. This is where the normalcy of the interactions ended and the shadiness and unpleasantness began.... (and I have a strong feeling they do this to lots of potential buyers who walk away feeling as disgusted as I did). Few minutes later one of the sales managers, Ronnie, comes to me with a sheet that shows the MSRP of the Acura MDX, and a selling price of $10,000 HIGHER than MSRP. He also shows approximately $2,500 of bogus add-ons (free car washes, 2x free oil changes per year, free minor dent repairs, all-weather floormats etc etc). Then he shows me a price sheet with a monthly lease payment of $1,250 per month even WITH MY TRADE INS!!! LOL. And he used the wrong residual % to calculate his lease figures. But this guy Ronnie tried using the semiconductor chip shortage as a ploy for trying to lease me an Acura for about what it costs to lease a BMW X7 or Escalade even now. LOL. And speaking of trade-ins, they lowballed me on the appraisal of BOTH my cars. Offered me $25k for a 2021 CR-V EX with 8,000 miles on it and $34k for a 2020 Pilot Elite trim with 17,800 miles on it. I was looking to net approx $4,000 positive equity -a very reasonable figure) and told them I'd put an additional $800 down to cover 1st months payment, plates and doc fee. Even with $4,800 dollars applied as cap cost reduction they refused to budge. After not having any success trying to get me to agree on the $1,250 per month number he came down to $800 per month and I said no thanks and politely walked out. In summary: 1) Tried selling a MDX at $10,000 above MSRP. 2) Tried adding in $2,500 of accessories/add-ons to drive up the cost. 3) Low-balled me on the appraisal of 2 low mileage, excellent condition Honda vehicles that are themselves selling at a premium right now. 4) The brand new vehicle I was interested in had a front bumper that was "damaged in transit". 5) Not one person I met at the dealerhip even had a business card to give me.
