Overall a pleasant and simple transition with a very friendly staff. My 2005 Subaru Legacy/Outback with over 140,000 miles on the odometer needed a new heater. All it could do was blow cold air. My local mechanics who handle our routine maintenance told me this would need the expertise of a Subaru dealer. McGovern Subaru in Acton MA was recommended and it is reasonably close to us. When I walked in to the reception/waiting room, there were three staff ready to help. Rose was closest, so I walked up to her. She introduced herself, and it was immediately clear that she already knew what the purpose of the appointment was and how it would be handled. It would take awhile to complete the diagnosis and a plan of action, so I settled in a comfortable chair with coffee and refreshments and worked my iPhone. After a while Rose came over with a progress report on the testing underway to complete the diagnosis. She knew what was going on and was able to explain it to me and how long it would take. A short time later Rose gave me the diagnosis: they would order some parts to correct the problem and she would call me when the parts came in to make an appointment to finish the job. Overall, I was very impressed by the prompt and thoughtful service, and how knowledgeable the staff taking care the customers are, judging from my experience with Rose who handled my case. More
