We recently purchased a 2013 hyundai sonata. Our salesman Kim was very knowledgeable about this vehicle. He took us on a test drive and showed us every aspect of this vehicle. He came in on his day off to deliver this car to us, and set up everything we needed. We went into the dealership today to pick up our registration and he washed and vacuumed the car himself. I had visited many dealerships prior to purchasing this vehicle and did not receive the professional service that i received from Bernardi. This dealership is outstanding and i would highly recommend Kim as a salesman. More
After searching for hours and visiting 6 other Hyundai dealers, I walked into Bernardi and was greeted by Miguel and James. After telling them what I was looking for, they took me to the exact vehicle tha dealers, I walked into Bernardi and was greeted by Miguel and James. After telling them what I was looking for, they took me to the exact vehicle that I was looking for minus a few bells but both James and Miguel worked with me to get me into a new used Sonata for less than the previous dealers. The biggest compliment and best feeling about the experience was that we felt as though we were taken care of, 100%, right up to delivery and even after. James worked hard to make sure everything was taken care of for us...we literally had to worry about nothing, as he promised. It was truly an unbelievable experience for a change...something other dealerships should model themselves after! I will o doubt be going back there...and will be telling as many people as I can about this place. Miguel and James are nothing short of ROCKSTARS. More
Our experience with this dealership was exceptional. Brian Doyle went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with EVERY aspect of our deal. He explained everything with exceptional knowledge and patience. He made sure we were comfortable (even giving us a few tokens for the diner) while we were waiting to see the finance manager. He was very sensitive about our feelings for our trade in. I know that sounds silly but I WAS very attached to our old van. And even though I knew we weren't going to get a lot for it, as a "trade in", he was very understanding. So, when Mr. Garcia talked to us about what other dealers were paying for that particular van, we were able to accept the news a lot easier. The entire transaction went quite well. Our time with the finance manage was uneventful - that is all I will say about that. When we returned to pick up my new (to me) car, again, Brian was right "on top" of things! He called me in the am to make sure everything was going as planned and we were able to correct a little problem about the plates - he was able to straighten it all out before I got there! When we arrived he had my new plates in his hand! I just couldn't believe how smooth this was going! My grand-daughters and I had lunch at the diner, while he was busy getting the car ready, putting the new plates on, taking my old ones off and filling my tank - THEN - he programmed my cel phone into the car and VERY patiently explained "bluetooth" to me! I will definitely recommend this dealership to my family and friends, it was well worth the long drive! More
Brian Doyle was the most pleasant and easy to deal with sales representative that I have ever worked with while buying a car. He was very patient with me and literally spent the whole day with me test driving various cars until he made sure that I was happy with the car that I ultimately purchased. He was not pushy or aggressive at all, but rather was very friendly and made me very comfortable throughout the whole buying process. He was very knowledgeable about the features of the car i bought and made sure that he explained everything to me before I drive off the lot. Brian scheduled my first oil change while I was still at the dealership, which was convenient, and he even assisted me at the sales department when I purchased an additional assessory for my vehicle. He also followed up with XM Radio the next day to ensure that my my 3 month membership was activated. Overall, Brian made my sale of my new Hyundai a very pleasant one, by far the best experience at a car dealership that I have ever had. More

Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there. The service department at Bernardi Hyundai has poor customer service. They make you feel guilty for asking for a car wash. I was told by my salesperson that an oil change at 1000 miles was recommended due to the engine parts moving and creating filings that are best to be removed sooner than later. This sounded like good advice. We live 30 minutes from Bernardi. They had the best deal. My wife drove up to have her oil changed and was told that it was way too soon. My wife explained what her salesperson had said, she was met with the same verbiage. I attempted to make an appointment for my 1000 mile oil change and was met with more of the same. I ended up speaking to the General Manager(Patrick Coffey) of the dealership, who after explaining that they recommended an oil change after 3000 miles, agreed to allow me to have my oil changed at 1000 mile. To me this was too little too late. I believe they need to change their slogan, to Bernardi for Now, and that's it. I was made to feel like ok you purchased your cars, no need to be polite anymore. I am done with them." New Post I have had the two cars purchased from this dealership mixed up. The sirius xm radio information was incorrect. The codes on the paperwork from Bernardi were from other cars that we had not purchased. I dealt with Sirius directly and fixed this. Now our Hyundai Roadside Assistance Cards are mixed up. I have an Elantra and my card says Veloster. I see a problem having to use this. I have e-mailed on two occasions and received word that they are working on it. Really for many weeks, how long does it take. Also I requested no e-mail from them. I continue to receive it. Since they tend to respond to negative reviews in a timely fashion, I have no alternative but to complain about their continued inability to get anything right. By far the best car buyiong experience I have ever had. Normally, one would equate buying a car like going to the dentist. Brian is an very approachable person, easy to talk to and excellent at answering questions. He listened to my car needs and helped me match them to a vehicle. Once I chose a car, he walked me through the financing issues and everything went off with a hitch. When I returned several days later to have some extra keys made, he sought me out to explain something further that he had just learned about my vehicle, as my car is a 2013 Elantra GT and had only been in the showroom less than 1 week before I purchased it. I bought a Sonata 2012 from this dealer and Kim was my sales man. He has been my best experience with sales representative by far. He is not pushing you or pressurizing you to make the deal. He will give you space to think and ponder over and always ready to assist with any issues and questions you might have in purchasing a new car. He will go out and beyond to give you a great car buying experience. I have not yet had to deal with their service section and their dealing, so my comment is only restricted to my buying experience. So far no issues with the car, except for some hiccups where the AC would not blow cool air unless I shut it and restart it again. It happened twice to make me wonder where am I getting it wrong or if this year unprecedented heat got better of the AC? Customer Service at the dealership = A Accessibility to dealer = B+ (if you have your own car), B ( if you do not, but Kim or other will pick you from train st) Speed of processing the sale= B+ Car Options = B+ More
I actually enjoyed the car buying process! Right from the beginning when Kim, the salesman, came over to us, the entire process was relaxing, friendly and pleasant. I had no intention of actually buying a ca beginning when Kim, the salesman, came over to us, the entire process was relaxing, friendly and pleasant. I had no intention of actually buying a car the day I walked into Bernadi, I was simply doing some research and test drives for when I was ready. However all that changed once Kim took me on a test drive. He answered all my questions in a teachable way, and even answered some I didn't even know to ask. After he rode with me for the initial test drive he then allowed me to drive around with my entire family for a second ride. Once I got back to Bernadi I was pretty sure I found the car I was looking for. The only hurdle left was the "gamesmanship". I would 100% percent recommened this dealership and Kim because there was no back and forth with price negotiating. We told him what we wanted and in 30 seconds he came back with what we wanted and more! The entire process took just over an hour- 2 test drives included! EVERYONE was pleasant, respectful, and great to be around. Never once did I get the creepy car dealership feeling. If you're looking for a no hassle, friendly dealership go to Bernadi! And ask for Kim :) I am very happy with my 2013 Elantra and with Bernadi! More
